 so far. I don't know why, but I like Johnny and Billy a lot more than Niko and Roman. Maybe because they are gruff biker dudes and were already beating ass within the first twenty minutes.

I tried a bike race last night (single player) which was awesome. It's like the Brucie street races from GTA IV where there are checkpoints you have to go through, but everyone's on a bike and has a baseball bat--Road Rash style. X swings to your left, B swings to your right. I didn't knock anyone off, but I did bloody up a few of the competitors.

I also like that you have access to a lot of stuff from the get-go, like calling Terry for weapons or being able to have a bike delivered to your location if you get stranded. You can also call some guys for backup when on missions. The gang aspect is well implemented even if riding around with AI is a little awkward. The clubhouse is pretty cool too. I tried some arm wrestling and made a quick $200. I tried some air hockey in the bowling alley with Jimmy and got my ass kicked.

okay played some more, few more things. mainly MP stuff.

me and my friends like free mode, it's what we play most, along with races. we play privately, btw. well, apparently they decided to move the options of police, auto aim, and friendly fire to you phone instead of having it in the game lobby's options. so, you can't change it once you're in a lobby. that is lame.

free mode is crap right now. i don't know why they made it like this, but they did. the new weapons are there, but i haven't found a new vehicle yet. i finally found a hellfury, which i never could in GTA4's free mode. not a new vehicle though. oh, and the awesome new annihilators, the ones that can actually kill things, aren't even in there either. in other words, no choppers of any kind(bike or heli). wait, i take that back. the mavericks are still there. :/

the chopper vs chopper mode is pretty cool. wish there was a better camera for the heli though. makes it a bit hard to see the biker. still awesome fun though. witness protection is great fun to me as well. bit of a twist of cops'n'robbers. only played it 2on2, but it was really fun. i would say this one is my favorite.

overall, good stuff. free mode makes me sad though. maybe they will fix it soon. oh, and the assault shotty is AWESOME. found it in free mode last night. shame it can't be fired from vehicles...;P

Does any of this DLC filture into GTA4? Like are the new weapons and vehicles added to GTA4 game proper?

From what I understand, no. TLAD content is completely separate and cannot be found/used in GTAIV (outside of TLAD mode).

I tried team deathmatch a little bit last night, but we had a team killer so that shot my game to crap and I left after 2 minutes and went back to the actual game.
I agree with R Nilla, this game I like the characters and love the story. The whole Niko thing I couldn't get into, mainly because I couldn't relate at all.
GTA III is still my favorite story, and that was one hell of a good game.

I have a question for you guys, should I download this I really like the game by itself and beat it but is this worth the points and does it offer a lot of gameplay(I know the play time is from 10-20 hours) but is it worth the points?

Every single review I've read has said it's worth it. That's pretty impressive, if you ask me.

I guess it comes down to what is 10-20 hours of entertainment worth to you.

I go to Buffalo Wild Wings to drink mainly because they have fair prices and I can play their trivia game. I usually end up dropping $20-30 on drinks with the wife and I for 2-3 hours of entertainment.

Therefore $20 for 10-20 hours is well worth it... especially since I have enjoyed all the GTA's since III.

Having not finished it I can't completely say, but so far I feel this way even though I'm not that far in. There's a lot of additional content here. If you enjoyed GTA IV I think you'll find TLAD is worth the points.

Although I didn't try it yet I just unlocked gang/turf war side missions when I stopped playing last night. Also, I noticed that when used on the bike, the sawed-off shotgun will light a car on fire after two shots. :Q

I don't want to reveal too much but The Lost and Damned appears to be coinciding with the original story. Johnny's and Nico's path does cross and you might remember in GTAIV when you did a mission with that goofy black guy and Johnny.

I wasn't really expecting this b/c I hadn't read it, but it's pretty smart the way they did it. I'm probably 4-5 hours into the game and really liking it.

As has been said... the chopper is much better... you can hit stuff and not be thrown off so easily. I have used it the whole time and haven't lost it... although I almost did in the mission I was talking about above.

I still have to beat the standard game, unfortunately I loaned my copy out.

Heh, I finally beat the original over this past weekend. I got the game on launch day 😱

yeah, Niko and Johnny's path cross in the game.. one mission Niko goes on with you to make a drug deal. Kinda cool in a way because you know the character, but yet "you" don't.

Are there any whiny friends calling you for mandates in this one?

Not so far. I've called a couple of people to try some of the new man-date options, but I've yet to receive a call from anyone just wanting to hang out.

I really like it.
The bike handling has been much improved. There's a few new sportbikes that seem to be based on actual, current bikes.
The bike races are entertaining and get progressively harder. I did get the "Got wood" achievement (knock of 69 bikers)
The missions, though I have not done many of them, feel very GTA - that's a good thing.
Overall, good purchase on my part.

I saw that claim on some review site, and it is false.

I have silver, and I downloaded TLAD just fine.
Paid for it & queued it up while at work, actually.
All done downloading when I got home.
