There's a lot of info on the Rockstar site about this DLC.

    New side missions.

15 new tracks as well as new DJ banter.

    New weapons:
    - Grenade Launcher
    - Assault Shotgun
    - Pool cue
    - Pipe Bomb
    - Sawed off shotgun
    - Automatic 9mm

    New vehicles:
    - 17 new bikes
    - 3 new trucks and vans

    New multiplayer modes:
    - No details from Rockstar, but apparently there are some new bike-centric modes complete with Road Rash-esque combat.

And don't forget about the full frontal male nudity. 😉

I was reading about one called "Chopper vs. Chopper". One person on the ground on a motorcycle racing through checkpoint. Another person in a helicopter trying to kill him. Sounds awesome.

Yeah, this achievement also caught my eye:

In the bike races, whack off 69 bikers with a bat.

Sounds like a lot of fun. 😀

one of the new vehicles is the slam van. i can't wait to drive it!

d/ling now, but it's taking forever. can't wait!

also noticed an old school prison bus in the last trailer. didn't see it listed as being new. also what looks to be a barracks ol. was in the trailer carrying a load of bikes.

Is this gonna be DLC only or is there gonna be a disc? I'd rather have a disc.
DLC only.

I may get it anyway. Seems to be more fun than GTA4. Got bored halfway thru. This add-on seem to be more entertaining. Any idea on how long it is?

Why does it have to be 360 only 🙁
Well, Microsoft went and paid Rockstar a ton of money. Of course, this wasn't some sort of secret, so I don't even understand how people can bitch about it now, at least any more than I can whine that LBP is on the PS3 and not the 360.

Oh right, dump truck full of money.. how MS usually get's exclusive games..

never said I was surprised by it, only implied that I was disappointed by it.

That's how everyone gets exclusive games, short of buying the studio. I understand that life's a bitch these days if you're a Sony fanboy, but, c'mon, it's getting old.

htf do you think any console gets exclusive games?

I swear, it seems like 80% of AT users have absolutely 0 business sense about them.

I like how some people act like consoles isn't a very competitive market. Software sells hardware, so if you keep the good software off your competitors hardware, that's good for you. I play quite a bit of Xbox (mostly thanks to Xbox Live), but I don't think I'd play anywhere near the video games I play if it was just the PS3 and Wii.

Besides competition breeds innovation. Online gaming on consoles probably wouldn't be near what it is today without the pressure MS put on the market by introducing Xbox Live. Now that Sony is looking like the underdog they have a lot of pressure to really create something to set themselves apart from the competition. We're seeing that in Playstation Home and some of the PSP/PS3 integration they're doing. Sony really burned themselves by making the PS3 much too expensive for the average console gamer (not to say you don't get a high quality machine for the money), but it was just too expensive.

Microsoft sees this as their opportunity to convert people who grew up on the Playstation brand (PSOne PS2) by targeting Sony's most popular third party developers. Microsoft doesn't want people to think of those games a Playstation games, but rather Xbox games (or at the very least multi platform games). Franchises like Final Fantasy, GTA, and Guitar Hero were all important ones. I remember back before GH2, the Guitar Hero franchise was a Playstation one, when I thought of Guitar Hero I thought of Sony. That isn't the case any longer. The same goes for Resident Evil and Final Fantasy. I remember growing up playing those games on my friends PSOne. RE is starting to feel more multiplatform (especially considering how many ports the original has had by now), but RE5 is the first big one for me away from Sony (I never really played or followed RE4 on the GC). Final Fantasy is also coming to the 360, but I'm still considering buying it for the PS3 because in my mind it's a PS game and that's what platform the series was designed on, and the controller it evolved around.

I can understand the bitterness this can cause PS fans, I can imagine people feeling about the Playstation the way I feel about the Xbox, and that is one platform provides a better experience than the other. For those people they see Microsoft essentially attempting to destroy the environment they grew up on and they have no particular interest in converting to an Xbox.

Business is a game, and it's a game that Microsoft is very, very good at. Microsoft wouldn't be where they are today if they weren't good at business, and they have some very profitable divisions that can pay the bills when consoles aren't being profitable (something Sony has been struggling with).

Edit: For the record I was pretty bored and this ended up substantially longer than I had planned.

This is very true. I for one don't own a PS3 because I have a 360 and the games I would want on the PS3 were announced for the 360. FF and such. But, I wish the PS3 would turn around and become very succesful. I fear if the PS3 officially flops then it will be like the early 80s when we only had Atari and whatever competition that tried to come out Atari sqaushed and we were left with a shitload of really bad games. I fear MS, if it becomes the only major player, will shove a lot of crap out there. They already have enough junk games.

I would get a PS3 if they
1. dropped the price substancially and
2. Put FULL BC back. I hate having to dig out the ps2 to play ps2 games.

The system has so much untapped power. WTH happened????

Once again.. Never said surprised, only disappointed.

I was also disappointed when I found out there was no santa claus, tooth fairy or easter bunny. Today has been rough. 🙁

Has anyone played it yet? Can we get some more impressions in this thread so I can have a little vicarious fun?

i'm playing it atm. it's fun. not much different feeling than GTA4.

the bikes are definitely more friendly now, as it takes quite a smack to throw you off. like, head-first into an oncoming car type of hit.

new weapons are cool, haven't gotten to the assault shotty yet though. but the grenade launcher and pipe bombs both disappointed me. i hoped the grenade launcher was like the big one for FC2, a 6 round huge beast with a scope that explodes on impact. but it's more like an M79 single shot nade that explodes after a few seconds. pipe bombs are identical to nades. i was hoping for a remote detonation type thing, but they are just cook and throw. sawed-off shotty is crap for hand combat, unless you use corners or run right up to people, but it is fairly devastating when used against cars while on a bike.

missions are typical GTA, which is cool by me. go here, steal this, kill them, lose the cops, etc etc...

only thing that i don't like and it bothers me quite a bit, mainly cause i'm picky, is the gang AI. or should i say, the gang bike AI. they look like complete idiots when you ride in a pack. the damn intro video even looked bad because Johnny was the only one who kept a steady pace. everyone else was speeding up and slowing down repeatedly. and when you are actually playing, they will run you over and miss turns all the time. considering it's all about bikes, this seems like it should've been addressed.

all in all though, it is more GTA. and that, to me, is a good thing. nothing majorly wrong with it, and it really fun. just a few nitpicks mainly.

I got it yesterday too. Overall it's pretty fun.

I have some of the same complaints as bdubyah, but I like the feature that when you ride in a pack there is an area you can try to focused on that repairs your bike and regenerates your health.

I've noticed some lip sync issues on the cut scenes but overall it's a nice change from Nico's voice. Some of the new commercials are also hillarious.

There is a rep meter for your gang members when they do jobs with you. I'm only 1 1/2 hours into the game so I'm sure what happens when they max out.

I'll have to say the queue it up feature of the getting the game was cool. I didn't have any MS Points and I looked on eBay and honestly the prices were no better so I just bought 2000 from MS and got it off their site. I got home turned on the Xbox and the download fired up.
