GTA IV question

If I have a dual core pc, and not the quad core that the pc version of GTA IV seems to want, am I better off with the 360 version?

I read somewhere that the DLC pack for GTA IV is 360 exclusive. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, and I jump to the pc version I would be frustrated. Anyone know?

It is indeed exclusive to the 360.

Free player made mods will likely be PC exclusive (in many games, the player made content is far superior to the official DLC: see NWN1 and Oblivion). You will also enjoy much higher native resolutions on the PC version along with greater controller flexibility.

From what I have read, the PS3 version is not even worth noting since it is inferior to the 360 version (unless you do not have a 360 or gaming PC).

But, you need to make sure that your RAM, CPU and most importantly GPU can handle it if you decide to go with the PC version.

I haven't played it, but apparently the PC version is buggy as hell: Link

People still seem to complain about it on the forums, so I don't know if any subsequent patches have helped or not.

I have both the 360 and Pc version running on a dual core E6850 with 4GB and dual 8800GTS cards. The game runs almost the same in single player, but like with any server you play on MP, there is lag in spots depeneding what server you hit.

They are both pretty much equal in my circumstance. The only thing that sucks, I was about 40% through the PC version before I bought the 360 the day after Christmas. Now I find myself bored with redoing every mission. But the main reason I bought the 360, was because of the Lost and Damned coming out is only available for the 360.
