well, GTA 5 is gonna release at 2014 for pc
i m planning to build my gaming pc for it

I think I got most of parts ready, but have no idea about the motherboard

I used to use gigabyte amd borad, (with my old 1100t cpu)
but I didnt feel any special with it
so now I just want to try intel board, and have no idea the different between those two

1. msi z97 gaming 7
2. msi z97 gaming 5

well, here is rest of my spec
cpu - i5 4670k (not sure if need wait for 4690k?)
motherboard - msi z97 gaming 7 or 5
gpu - msi n770 4gd5 gaming
Memory: 8G ddr3
SSD - samsung 840 evo 250 ssd
HD - seagate 1TB

Here is the spec link for GTA 5

well, i think i get budget for either gaming 7 or gaming 5
but dont know which one is better for my gaming pc

hope someone can help me with it

The gaming 5 motherboard has lots of power circuitry around the cpu, so you can achieve very high overclocks.

the gaming 7 has even more, complete overkill unless you like overclocking with liquid nitrogen as cooling. Maybe there's a difference in the sound chip? dunno.

motherboards don't have an effect on performance, since the memory and graphics card are more or less directly connected to the processor.

the difference in price from an entry level z97 board and the msi z97 gaming 7 is enough for you to buy an i7 and not i5, or a faster VGA

if it's for gaming buying a "gaming" board makes no sense.

Both r good mb
but like they say, if you only looking for gaming mb
and you dont know about the overclocking

you may want to try h97 gaming 3, way cheaper, and also design for gaming

z97 series are more for gaming and overclocking,
but if you dont care about the price,
I will say take gaming 7 as well,
even you dont know about the oc,
all you need is to make sure you get k series cpu,
and msi gaming 7 get the auto oc button,
all you need to do is press it, and then your cpu will oc automatically
