Each of the challenges can be done with the list of weapons once you choose handgun, assault rifle, etc.

Oh, I thought each weapon had it's own set of challenges. I was doing all of the basic weapons first.

I thought that at first to, but I soon realized otherwise.

The good thing, is you gain shooting skill. You also get 25% off if you get all gold, which was surprisingly hard with some weapons.

After another random robbery encounter I thought of something, why doesn't the game have random car jackings and muggings of your character? Like someone can walk by and bump you and try to make off with some of your cash. Chase him down and get into a shootout with his buddies waiting in the alley maybe. There's one random encounter I found where a woman pleads for help and leads you to an alley but I think it would make the world feel more alive if they did this more.

I'm sure the "ideas to put in the game" board at R* was quite large and filled with many, many unused ideas.
People seem to think that their ideas for the game weren't thought of, discussed, and eventually tossed aside to fit in everything they could. 🙂

Why is swimming controls so BAD? I went out to try the money case exploit in the water... after about the 5th brief case I died because my guy kept swimming around the case.. or out to sea because THE CONTROLS ARE SOOO BAD!

Honestly I think doing it this way is so stupidly frustrating I think I'm just gonna go exploit the assassin missions instead.

Seems like every time I switch to Franklin and get in his car, I hear this shit:

How it wuh
Neeah how it wuh
How it wuh
Beach how it wuh
How it wuh
Neeah how it wuh
How it wuh
Beach how it wuh
How it wuh
Neeah how it wuh
How it wuh
Beach how it wuh
How it wuh
Neeah how it wuh
How it wuh
Beach how it wuh

And someone should tell "Future" that there are no "racks" in tennis. They are called "racquets".

Maybe change the station? I never heard that...I always hear Dr dre and snoop lion/dog or whatever he calls himself now.

Dunno, works OK for me.

Trick/spoiler:
Every time you switch characters all characters get 100% oxygen. This means that if you are running out of air, switch to another character, then back to the one you were using and he has full air.

Also works for health and i think vehicle repair.

Did a really cool ? series yesterday with Franklin. It involved parachuting a few different times. I may not have finished it, but I didn't see it pop up on the map again.

I liked the flight school up until the first helicopter mission. I got gold on all the plane ones, but I couldn't even get bronze on the first helicopter one. =(

don't think it works for health, i've switched multiple times from character to character within a mission and their health does not regenerate. maybe outside of a mission?

In mission it doesn't work. I am pretty sure it works outside of missions though. Also, quick save and reload repairs your vehicle as well.

I like all the random antics Trevor's getting into whenever you switch to him. Michael and Franklin aren't usually doing much, with some rare exceptions. One time I switched to Michael, and he's sitting at a restaurant, and starts looking around all confused and saying "but I wanted to have dessert..." right as I took control of him. It made me laugh, in a breaking the fourth wall kind of way.

But Trevor. Every time I switch to Trevor I get something awesome. He's waking up half-naked in a dumpster, or he's chasing some poor scared hobo, or he's drunkenly wobbling down the freeway, or he's pitching a gang member off an overpass, or he's picking a fight with the jocks at muscle beach, or he's spooning one of his buddies and whispering "next time, you'll be the big spoon" in his ear, or he's getting a lapdance at the strip club... Taking control of Trevor is like walking in on the start of an episode of Cops.

Small spoiler within:
In the mission for the billionaire who steals cars where Trevor is in the police helicopter and Franklin is on the ground, I get the car with Franklin, drive it to the airport and drop the car off. I'm leaving the airport and the mission is passed, so I figure, hell, I'm nowhere near the next mission, I'll switch to Trevor and start it with him. I switch over, he's still in the police helicopter flying over the city, but one of the doors is wide open and Trevor is leaning out shouting "Hope you have a soft landing!" at the police officer he's just thrown out. I completely lost my shit at that point.
Trevor's the funniest video game character I've seen in ages.

Every time I switch to him he is running from the cops. =( So annoying.

One thing that I find kind of annoying is if you break a law and get one star, the cops shoot at you. If you resist and run, you automatically get 2 stars. What am I supposed to do? Let them kill me?

Flying is pretty awful, at least for helicopters.

Made some clever market investments and now have over $1 billion on Franklin. I am going to start buying up property now and probably a boat. I've finished the main story. I found the best way to invest was to crash a stock (blow up their planes, rob their stores, whatever) then invest when they are very low; wait a few days (go into the save menu to pass time quickly, you don't have to save) then sell when the stock rebounds and normalizes (everything but LifeInvader recovers). I went from $25 million to $1.14 billion in like an hour last night on Franklin and over $400 million each on the other two.

Wow.. Which stores did you rob to get their stocks to plummet and then invest?

I just finished the main story and unfortunately did all of the Lester assassination missions and missed investing in a couple of them - was a complete noob so I now have only ~$30M for all three characters (strictly from the last heist)!

Are there any other ways to make quick money in the game?

Yep, and the number of things that can cause a 1 star are pretty stupid. I wanted to try out the triathlon so I walked up to the sign up table. The sign up triggers are pretty small so I was bumping around into people and this pissed one of them off and boom.. 1 star. I didn't want a big confrontation so I got in my car and went down a road that had a security fence... little did I know the end of it had a manned guard fence gate who opened the f! up on me and now I had a 2 star police car pileup on my ass because I was in a dead end without the fence gate open. Police should not be opening fire unless you have show a gun, pure and simple.

And to go back to my underwater issue.. I know swapping replenished my health and air, but that was just it. Swimming controls were so bad I couldn't turn myself around and swim to pick up the case within the time my air and health depleted. Driving, great, flying, awesome, helicopter.....i'm getting better, but swimming is just retarded. The game makes it easier for you to swim forward fast and nearly impossible to pivot and make precise movements.. completely freaking opposite of swimming in real life.

It seems like the air plane method may or may not work. It might be missions only effect the stock market. I've got so much money I don't care anymore, but I'd try doing things like robbing every one of the at type of store. The postal planes being destroyed were reported to have worked, but I haven't really tried it. I will experiment with it when I get home.

There is a random event guy you can find who gives you a tip to invest in a certain stock. I did this, and waited a bit, but only got a 30% increase. For me though, that was over 280 million. I own every property available for Franklin to buy now.

Martin's wife was kidnapped by trevor and now neither he nor michael can enter the city without martin's men after them. How can I resolve this?

I think impacting the stock market outside of missions cannot be done. The LCN just does not move quickly at all, irrespective of whether you blow up assets or not.

The only reliable way I have found to make appreciable cash is doing the switch back and forth cheat with underwater briefcases. Considering the game is continually stealing vehicles I put in garages, I feel no guilt over cheating it out of money.

There is a Franklin mission where you go to Michael's house and he is not home. This starts the 'road to redemption' with Martin and his crew; with the obvious FIB intervention.

There has to be a way outside of missions to do it. I am going to try and see tonight when I get home. I will test a few different companies and their stock.

I am surprised me investing a billion dollars in a company doesn't increase it's value though. >_> That certainly would have some impact in the real world, or me selling a billion in their stock for that matter.
