OK Michael's garage simply doesn't work; it saves nothing. Anyway, I paid $30k for another huge garage and it's working so far.

Question: I dropped a bunch of coin into upgrading a vehicle and then I blew it up by accident. I presume it's gone forever?

Second Q: If I have a pimped vehicle and then go on a mission somewhere, where is it supposed to show up?

So... apparently you can download an iFruit app to get Chop to help you find hidden collectibles.

Anyway to do this in-game, without downloading something to your 'real' phone? I don't even own a smartphone, because I don't presently need one, so if you can't do this in-game, there is a part of the game that I'm just denied?

Sounds kind of crappy if that is the case.

Yeah it's not available as far as I know.

Q1) If you wreck it it's gone unless you reload a save which is why I always quick save right when I enter one of my upgraded cars.
Q2) If you leave the car somewhere you will have to go to the impound and get it back.

Thanks. I actually just ran a test, stole car painted it purple, went on a mission, and when the mission finished up half way across the city the car was magically parked near where the mission ended.

I think it's just fine that a blown up car is irretrievable, but I really want to pimp one up and not lose it 🙂

Yes, some missions specifically state that the purpose is to manipulate the stock market.

After the first heist with Michael and Franklin, Lester employs Franklin to assassinate people. If you listen to what Lester says in the cut scenes, he pretty much tells Franklin how to invest. If you start the mission, you'll only be able to invest with Franklin, but if you quick-save before the cut scene and figure out which company to invest in you can load just before the mission and invest with all three characters. Michael, after having taken a majority share after the first heist had a $600k return on his investment of $800k for me.

I slept 4 times before selling my shares, it seemed to stabilize after that.

Damn, I (first heist spoiler)
guess I should have paid for the better gun guy on the first heist? I did the "stealth" version of that heist, collected every last jewel in the store with a ton of time to spare, but then one of the dumbasses on the motorcycles crashed when going into the tunnel and lost like $1.4 million. Afterward they said something about the gun guy screwing up. I only ended up with about $150k for Michael and $50k for Franklin. That's going to cost me millions in investment returns.

Meh, it happened again. Michael was in a customized car, I flew off to be Trevor for a while, came back and Michael was in his red civic like car and the cutomized car wasn't in the previously empty safehouse garage, or his 4-car garage, or impound, just disappeared. Won't waste any more money on this stuff.

That sucks about the whole customized car thing. That is one thing I loved in Saints Row 3 (haven't played 4 yet). You park your pimped out car in your garage, it is always there and even if you destroy it, it shows back up in the garage. Made upgrading cars worthwhile.

One thing I do have to say is that if you're not doing the Question Mark missions with everyone, then you're definitely missing out on some great stuff.

Yeah. I love. No. LOVE how Rockstar is pretending that they are receiving reports about this, as if it's a new problem. I would bet my life that it was a reported bug prior to go-live.

I've only found one car in a garage that I put there; they seem to get arranged around the safehouse (outside of garages)... I'm assuming you looked all around?

Along with doing the ? missions, check out the random blue blip mini-missions also. Just had a really strange one that had nothing to do with catching someone and bringing something back (like many of them do).

My Xbox 360 version keeps freezing when I try to replay the part where you steal one of the bug vans. It just loads forever when I try to replay the mission. So I have to shut down the console and reload the entire game etc... really annoying, especially considering how long that first load time is.

Just did the first heist. I invested with Franklin and Michael before the mission. Not sure if I picked the right companies.

I did pick the most expensive crew members and nothing went wrong. Now I'm on trevor roaming around the desert area.

That happened to me too, but Franklin was able to pick up the bag that was dropped. Actually, now that I think about it, Franklin got tossed from his bike right when that happened, I ran and picked up the dropped bag then was killed by the cops. Since I passed a checkpoint and just hit retry it started me out on the bike heading in the right direction with money intact. I think I got lucky on that one.

Grrr....

When you get to the plane missions, make sure as hell you are fully in the hangar at the end. Took me four tries to complete one, flew back and landed, and apparently I wasn't far enough into the hangar, because when I got out, 'Mission Failed'.

😡

Do you know if you do the loud version of the heist instead of stealth, does it affect the story later down the road ?

When I did that mission I went cheap on gunner and he fell off bike but Franklin picked it up despite not falling off his...

Can your purchased cars be stolen? I bought a Vacca for $240,000, drove literally 4 blocks to an ammunation, went in, came out, and it was gone. wtf

So when you buy a property with a weekly income, only the character that bought it gets the money right? So when I'm playing as Trevor, is Franklin still making money?

I think it is more likely you are suffering from the defect affecting the game now. It really is a damn shame that purchased and upgraded vehicles cannot be relied on to not arbitrarily disappear.

I've never used my garage at all. I always take a car on my way to any mission. The first few missions I used Franklin's car and also Michael's and they always appeared at each character's house after I'm done. One time I did take a new bike home and parked it near my garage, right next to Franklin's car since I already had a car in his garage. But I didn't see the bike the next day, probably related to this glitch.

I actually had an entire day free yesterday and did something I haven't done in a damn long time (at least a decade): played basically all day. About 10 hours.

The game is not revolutionary; it is the same essential thing we has seen from the GTA franchise, but the time and attention to detail is undeniable. It makes an open world game like far cry 3 seem like something quickly thrown together.

I was driving a car along the highway near the ocean listening to a radio station and can truly say it is the closest I have been in any game to feeling part of its world.

Given how much we have progressed in 15 years in gta I can't imagine what GTA 8 will look like. Strip clubs will Go from something hilarious now to something wives will be demanding their husbands do not engage in if they are playing. I think the game will have to deliberately move away from striving to realism because it will be too shocking.

I am not getting the "must play" vibe with gta5 as I did with my recent games like bioshock infinite, gw2, planetside 2 and such. Its good fun and stuff but it also has its fair share of frustrations.

One that alot of people have shared is it is quite easy to die from bullets in gta5. Despite utilising cover, I almost always get nailed every time I pop out to take a shot. Now I suck at aiming with a thumbstick so I used the lock on target options (ez mode shooting) which means I only need to pop out for a split second. And I STILL have to stop because my heath is red and I need to regen a little. I have also experienced the one shot syndrome where you are running around with about %80 health (I stubbed my toe somewhere) and then a single shot killed me. I just found out about buyable armors, although I am guessing they are like gta4 and just adds non renewable health.

Also I just started hunting, although I don't know if I am going to continue.. you see.. cougars are also a one hit kill. And since lockon does not work when hunting you have to aim quickly or you are dead...

yea... this made it the MOST LEAST FUN SPORT IN THE GAME! Whats that? miss a target and your session has ended and you are 5k in the hole? SIGN ME UP!

Those one shot kills are either from shotguns or shots in the head. I've yet to experience a cheap death from bullets in this game
