I'm gonna be really shitty if i get gta v on ps3 and then it comes out on ps4 a couple months later. That's why I might get a physical copy. At least I could get rid of it then.

Yeah, that would be kind of lame. I think it will be a while before it comes out; probably around the same time as the PC release (so like 6 months).

I've got to finish Mass Effect 3 tomorrow, or else I'll never finish it haha. Gotta make sure I get to Walmart tomorrow and grab a memory stick for the install before they sell out on Tuesday.

We won't see one for ps4 for maybe more than 6 months. I too opted for a disc copy because it's easy to trade in or replace with the newer model. I'm sure those that got it digitally will be able to get it at a discount or we should get some discount but it's unlikely if it will take so long to come out. There hasn't even been any mention of it but that's usual of Rockstar to follow the trend.

I was gonna get a PS3 Bundle with GTAV, but with this leaked source code showing PS4 and PC... it would really piss me off if it came out for the holiday market.

PS3 GTAV bundle is $270. I would only buy it for this game only... and possibly FIFA13/14.
What is the resale value of a GTAV bundle once GTAV is released for PS4?
I would think less than $200.

I could just wait for the PC version... but that will be a long wait.

It won't be out for holiday. I'm pretty sure of that.

Anyway just get it on ps3 or 360 and enjoy it now. There will be plenty else to play on the ps4 when that arrives. For me, gta5 is likely to be the last game I buy for ps3 unless ultra street fighter 4 doesn't get a ps4 or xb1 release.

The GTA series is my favorite game series of all time. I have both a gaming PC and consoles but will definitely wait for it to come out on the PC so I have the absolute best experience possible. There are plenty of other games that can fill my free time while I wait for GTA5 of the PC. I wouldn't want to spoil the experience having to play it on an extremely old console with crappier controls. JMHO.

Extremely old console, it's not that old and only reason it is old is because there is s new one in about a month. Anyway, I hope they don't just port it to pc and not optimize it for computer properly.

Well, used PS3s are still quite high (in the $250 range) for some stupid reason, so you might have decent resale on the bundle. I've been trying to scoop up a used PS3 for a few months (only for The Last of Us) and people seem to think their old, used PS3 is worth around as much as a new one.

My craigslist research confirms this. Who knows if they area actually selling though.

They most likely won't sell. Who would pay that much nearly a month before the new one releases. You could just buy it in store instead of craigslist.

99% of the people selling PS3s think that because they once cost $600, their old dusty 80gb George Foreman is worth more, at least the same as, what a new bundle costs. Even people on AT!

Meanwhile you have to avoid spoilers and people describing how good the game is and all that. Personally if rock star gave a damn they would release PC on day one. No reason they hold back....it isnt gonna hurt any sales because a sale for PC is the same as a sale for ps3 when it comes down to it. I bet they make more from a $60 PC sale than a $60 console sale anyway. Cheaper fees for publishing and such. No?

Doesn't Steam take like 30% from sales on their service? Also, I think consoles are their primary market. I can't find PC sales data for anywhere outside the UK, but they sold less than a million units of GTA4 on the PC (in the UK). They sold 10 million on each console worldwide. They, probably, aren't focusing their main resources (or any) on porting it to PC until they have finished the console versions. At least, that is the only way I can rationalize it.

I'd suspect GTA5 will come out for PC and next gen sometime after the holiday season.

I think it may be 30% now that I research it. I think that is what MS takes for a Xbox live marketplace sale as well which may account for why many titles are not day one digital on the 360 if it is accurate. Thw benwfit though is getting exposure for your new game on the front page and when people browse for new releases. I would assume you get more return on a disk sale though. Anyhow...I'll just get it on ps3. I see no reason to wait...I'll likely be done with it before the ps4 hits.

This game is the 2nd highest rated game (behind Zelda: OoT) on Metacritic because of one "bad" review from The Escapist (who thought the main characters were scumbags). I am hoping there is some serious character development beyond "I did bad things in the war and my cousin is super annoying" they had in GTA4, but so far, the critics are loving this game.

So I guess Rockstar tweeted that we shouldn't install the play disc on the 360? That is gonna suck having to listen to my xbox fans kick on.

So, I read the Escapist review and it was rather silly. The author seems to not get GTA or the Godfather (because he/she compared it to it). They were under the impressing the main character in GTA is some sort of anti-hero and there was some moral reasoning behind why they were committing crimes (and that Michael Corleone was an anti hero as well).

I guess anyone with a Macbook and a beard* can be an internet journalist these days though.

*that was a dig at hipsters btw.

There will always be those who are super critical in their own weird way. If all the rest of the reviews are good and only one seems bad, chances are it's not an interesting title for the critic. Besides the last of us, Zelda..I have not heard of a game where critics give a 10.

Why is that? Doesn't make sense to me.

I'll read some the reviews later. I saw it was getting great scores though.

It is very strange about installing. Perhaps something to do with how it copies the data bad. I don't know. I have no idea how MS handles installing to the HDD.
