Hmmm, a computer that can decently run games? Doesn't that cost money?

You can build a decent rig to play games, including monitor, for probably around $1000 to $1100 plus shipping. An XBOX or PS2 costs $150, and if it's an XBOX, either around $50 for a year, or $8 a month. So for what you pay to build a computer, you can buy a console and pay for 17 years of XBOX Live service (or nothing for the PS2, since it comes with the broadband built-in now). You say, "But you'll have to buy another console when they come out!" I say, "But that console will cost equal to lower of that video card you'll need to buy sooner to keep playing the new PC games."

Your theory = debunked.
