GT300 Benchmarks

Is this a joke? There's nothing at all to back up the numbers in those charts. A random youtube video isn't even close to reputable.

Why the heck did they test at 1680x1050? Maybe they were using a Celeron for the ATI system and a Core i7 for the nV system!! 😛

IF this is true...my next card will be a GT300...and I'll even pay extra for the new waterblock I'd need since newer nV cards don't support the Maze4.

I'm sure that the next card will be faster then prev. the Q. is when?
may be by the time new NV will be in stores another newer ATI will be as well faster then current that you can buy hd5870
if NV will not deliver than nothing will push ATI to deliver better card as well and we consumer will be at loss IMHO

Never cease to be amazed...

EDIT:

*takes deep breath*

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

*takes another deep breath*

Hahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahah

Seriously, this guy is still posting around here.

Time to find a new forum me thinks 🙂

This has that "stealth marketing" feel to it ...

Statistics are easily manipulated,

especially when you control the spread sheet,

and the production quality was extremely poor.. I've seen 12 year old kids do better You Tube vids..

The results actually are probably pretty plausible IMO. I'm sure NVIDIA will put out a card significantly faster then the 5870, it's a matter of when and for how much $$$.

Yep. With the memory sizes one hears about, this could be a $500-$600 card for the top end.

I just want the damn things to come out so we can see some more competition.

One day some people will understand they do more damage to their favorite company's reputation by posting the way they do.....

If Charlie posts something about nVidia it is hard to believe...same with ....some posters on this forum...and I am not talking about you nitromullet 😉

Wreckage probably made the video himself under another name or something

Oh and btw none of those benchmarks is "2x as fast", its around 50 to 70%, but thats to be expected since twisting information is your specialty

bogus. Crysis might make sense because it's gpu limited but Farcry 2? It's more CPU limited at that resolution.

Apparantly the guy in that video, thought these 'benchmarks' (use that word very lightly) were legit.

He also thought that Wreckage was a good, honest contributor to these forums. Who does not present FUD and opion as fact, in an attempt to sway the minds of the less well informed members.

hard ocp has a thread on this topic that's just about as funny as this clip.

I think we all know it's a given the GT300 will be faster than a 5870. Don't kid yourself it will be twice as fast though.. We'll likely see exactly what we saw with 4890 vs 285. GT300 will probably come in around 10-20% faster depending on the game over 5870.

We don't know anything yet. Easy times for the 5870.

There is a also a clip on youtube of Godzilla fighting Mothra where can actually see the sneakers of the guy in the Mothra suit. That video is still far more believable than this one.

Not sure how accurate those benchmarks are, but if they are true.

Your title is misleading, even by your standards.

Leaked, completely unverified "benchmarks" (or made up numbers) on a hand-picked resolution to exaggerate difference (Nvidia has always been better at lower resolutions) don't even verify your "2x as fast" claim.

The 3 benchmarks are:

Crysis Very High DX10, 1680X1050

5870: 43fps
GT300 75 fps

GT300 advantage: 74%

Fary Cry 2, Very High DX10, 1680X1050
5870: 106
GT300: 177

GT300 advantage: 67%

3Dmark Vantage
5870 16098
GT300 23098

GT300 advantage: 43%

--------

Perhaps a title of "74% faster in ideal conditions at 1680x1050" would be more accurate.

Fake . NV is doing another tap out . If it was all that why another tap out . This was already posted at XS and destroyed . GO away wreckage.

OH really got proof . Larabee will be 3x what 385 is . LOL do i need proof . NA I said so it has to be true LOL.

Twice as fast as a 5870? That would mean it?d have to be about three times as fast as a GTX285, but the specs don?t really allow that. Hmm, I smell bullshit.
