my original thought is if it's too good to be true, most of the time it's because it is.

http://www.thegtpstore.com/ .... click on the gt+ tunerbox

i was gonna buy one on ebay for my car... $25 shipped. anyone have any experience with them?

I'm not navigating through hat horrible site but from what you said it's probably just a tune. I would never trust any of those things you can get form Ebay. If you want a tune go get one from a local reputable shop. I'm sure there are many that specialize in Mustangs that are in your area.

They just use resistors to give a sensor input a fixed value. Not a good idea and won't universally give you more power or better gas mileage.

At least in my car, these resistor things work for a week.

Then the ECU cancels it out and adjusts the values accordingly to go back to stock. =/

The higher resistance makes the ECU think the air is colder, thus advancing the ignition.

That's the idea as far as I know.

Didn't know that some cars would adjust/ignore the input after a while though...

GARBAGE

ABSOLUTE COMPLETE GARBAGE.

They put a 10c resistor on your MAF signal and call it a "performance mod".
