"Japan's Best Car Magazine has published renderings of what a Nissan GT-R-based SUV might look like. While it remains unclear if Best Car created the pictures on insider information or just for speculation, the magazine reports that the SUV would use the same 480 horsepower powerplant found in the GT-R."

Pics of the magazine depiction taken from a Skyline blog:

This seems really unlikely, but if it ever gets made that'll be a major wtf moment for Nissan.

Isn't there some gross chrome laden Chrysler that looks somewhat reminiscent of that rear three-quarter?

I guess it would be the only real Porsche Cayenne competitor (not that the segment really needs two entrants). I wonder how the Porsche is selling?

VW Touareg? ;)

That V10 Twin Turbo diesel has plenty of oomph ;)

EDIT: Range Rover Sport?

EDIT: AMG M-Class? X5?

I'm sure there are more too...Territory Turbo here, albeit much cheaper...

Cayenne sells more than any other Porsche car.
So this is a good move for Nissan.

I was referring more to the Cayenne S - an SUV with a kickass engine. We don't get the Touareg V10 here so I can't comment on that - I wouldn't put the X5 or RR quite up there engine-wise. The M-class would fit but I don't know much about it.

The SRT8 Cherokee has a kickass engine but isn't really in the same class at half the price.

Lol I didn't mean wtf moment as in bad financial move, because it's not. I really think it looks strange though; ppl thought the Cayenne was butt ugly when it came out (CD called it a rear-ended 911), but I really think this looks a few times worse.
