now there are lots to say about those involved in this video, but i couldn't help but think about something reading the comments.

With all the stuff going round about the GT-R's transmission, VDC, Launch Control, and Voided Warranties, everyone seems to see the GT-R now as fragile. For instance, most of the comments on this vid were along the lines of "He's going to break it." or "i wonder if that voids his warranty!"

can you imagine a video like this with a ZR-1? i think the general consensus would be "badass!"

Don't get me wrong, i'd buy a GT-R before i bought a ZR-1 ( i think) but it seems the GT-R now carries a bit of a poor stigma.

on another note, i think the story about the guy who wrecked his transmission using launch control is blown out of proportion. Who knows how many launches he put that thing through. I remember when the e46 M3 with the SMG came out, it was limited to something like 30 launches in the life of the transmission.

Nice, I especially liked the signs he threw up at the end, made me laugh.

I actually seen one of these on the streets, well parking lot at a grocery store, when I was out to lunch at work one day. I was grabbing a quick bite so I was parked to stuff my face quick and had to laugh when I seen the owner come out of the store and get in it. It was a guy around 60 years old decked out in sweatpants halfway down his ass and a sweat shirt, the bag he was carrying looked like medication or something. It looked like he was having a bit of a tough time getting in it even. However, I'm sure he's the coolest grandpa on his block no doubt.

That said, it's a decent looking car and obviously a performer... but I'd take the ZR-1 over it - I'm much more at home around Chevy smallblocks.
