I think this image is fake simply because of the redlined stuff. Why would she bother doing that? If she is who she says, it's not like she has anything to gain from only publishing some info and not the rest in a screenshot. :p

There is also the 512MB thing, which makes no sense at all if this is supposed to be the high end version.

This is actually all pretty easy to prove/disprove.

If Tulip sends me an email from work, I'll know if it's from XFX as I've corresponded with them before.

My GMail account is bjks12@gmail.com Tulip, look forward to hearing from you.

Or, if Tulip joins at nZone or SLiZone and posts, I can an IP search and find out where she's from.

Why don't you just have her fax a picture of herself in the lab at XFX, a copy of her paycheck stub, and a sworn statement that she's a corporate spy to NVIDIA? I'm guessing that even as careless as she is, she doesn't actually want to get caught. ;)

i don't think you caught it :p

she evidently PM'med [nv]Rollo with *more details* than she posted here and basically DARED him to report her

2. Tulip "herself" asked me in a PM if I would check with NVIDIA if she supplied me with employee information in a PM. So apparently "she" wishes to be verified.

think about it

Wonder if Rollo will openly confirm/deny her authenticity. ...and if he does, how many of you will trust him?

My take on this is if he finds out she's not legit, we'll hear about... If she's the real deal, we won't, but NVIDIA will... There is almost NO WAY that NVIDIA would want this individual openly confirmed as an XFX employee. If Rollo were to do so, he'd probably be enjoying his last gratis 3-way SLI rig.

I only need pics if she is hawt........

As Apoppin noted, "she" seems eager enough to divulge items like employee id, which makes me wonder if this is a vengeance thing.

It's also within the realm of possibility this is one of our "beloved" nZone trolls just trying to play us. We've had them join forums with our moderator's user names and post false info about nV products, for example.
Most would be amazed at the bizarre "revenge" plots people hatch against a video card company. Wonder if Campbells has people trying to "bring down the soup empire"-LOL.

And it could be she's on the level and this is valid info someone is leaking.

I think in the grand scheme of things, "Who cares?"

The parts NVIDIA doesn't have for sale don't concern me, and the way they arrive at decisions for the parts they do make doesn't concern me.

I really only care about what I can get my hands on and the performance/image quality/stability it offers.

She hasn't bothered to send me an email or post, so I can't even speculate!

Campbell's does have a forum, I wonder if Progresso gives "well respected forum members" free soup to promote their products there. ;)

LOL!

I actually think Progresso p3wnz, I'd be in their group.

No offense but you are obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a damm about your approval - like many others here :)

Forums are meant for discussion that contains both facts and rumours - not whether the poster is real or fake- How many rumours we see everyday? some of them are squashed and some aren't. Everything unless came from the official source is considered as rumour.

If you want facts - you wait for the press release.

By that logic would you defend me if I just went through every section of the forum posting crap that no one else but me can back? What if I said I was a ninja and stole ATI's next-gen card designs and posted info here, would you believe me then? Same thing if I said I worked there, you have no proof till I show something to you that verifies my info :D Rumors are rumors, but something 1 person says is not what I classify as a rumor.

I have not told you my ID now i will not as i know you hold your position above your heart.

He never said he would divulge your info, just said he would prove whether or not you were legit.

Every Alpha and pre alpha card are string serial coded and the red line is for the serial..I DONT WANT MY BF TO GET IN TROUBLE.

EG Nvidia GT S/N XXXXXXXXX // i dont know how many numbers are there but you get it. There are very few Alpha cards that exist. After this the Beta card (AN - AX) will be tested and tuned and after that the Gama or Public cards are sold (A1)

The 512Mb is because this is not the top card BTW this is the least amount of ram that you will get at least from nvidia reference.

He gets cards from nvidia for crying out loud. A single 8800 GT is about equal to my months interish pay. If i had such an option i would not post here at all, now even though i am not so much worried about the present job situation i was thinking last night that this would leave a red mark on my Bio. data and it would be harder to get grade A jobs.

If Rollo really wanted you to get in trouble/lose your job he could have contacted XFX and told them about a security breach, and have them check out which labs were currently working on that card, and voila, the very building you work in will be isolated eventually, and then they'll find out who you are through various means of checking/testing. He just wanted to be able to tell us whether you're real or not, in any case there's nVidia monitors that watch these boards, so by posting you risked your job already.

I am now leaveing this forum thanks for your time.

Responding to the PM the resolution is 2560x1600

BTW Its a single card still in ALPHA stage and has very less driver support thus it scored so low 3d mark 06 only 16K someone tells me it can score around 19-21K when launched.

**********************

CPU INFO:- These are not a single Q6600 you really think we have any normal machines in the lab.

The are two Q6600 (LGA 775) processers on a twin socket motherboad on a new nvidia chipset.

If no one knows XFX also produces M/B and our relationship with nvidia is stronger than most companies.

DID ANYONE SEE THIS, WOOOW IS THE WORD THIS IS SIMILAR TO SKULL TRAIL I THINK.BUT MUCH MUCH CHEAPER AS I THINK LGA 775 < LGA 771 (THE ONE THAT GOES ON SKULL TRAIL I THINK)

That ain't feasible John, the heat that nVidia chipset boards is huge compared to what Intel makes, and Intel based skulltrail off of server grade components. I highly doubt that XFX has a dual socket board in the works, and if they did by the time they released it Nehalem would be out and socket 775 would be worthless. The heat that this board would make is immense, you'd need a lot of fans to keep it from overheating.

Question, don't nVidia have server M/B's what is Nehalem LGA??

Answer to your first question is no, as for the second question, theres 2 new sockets and neither will be 775, I forgot how many pins each had, I think one was 1331?

It is a 780i chipset with a different southbridge there is an embedded trace path from cpu A to cpu B and the south bridge uses S.O.D. technology makeing it a single massive chip with a thermal envelope under 50 W its not very hot. This is not for Nehalem at all its for gameing laptops.

The pci is laid down on the board but another removable pci slot is fixed on the laid pci slot and a gt200 is stuck on the removable slot.

While a gaming laptop with 2 CPUs sounds fun isn't that completely impractical? While the SB chip may produce less heat over the wider surface area, wouldn't the addition of a second cpu more than make up for that? In a desktop with proper ventilation it isn't a problem but laptops are awfully cramped, this one I'm on right now for instance is awfully hot at the base after a while, I wouldn't want to add to that heat.

Well if you pick one of these up, let me bake my cookies underneath while you game.
