Hey guys,
I am in a rut, I am interested in a SE S710a phone that runs 850/1800/1900
but Tmobile In NYC i believe runs on the 900 band. Is this going to affect my service a lot? I looked up some sites on the internet and it says its based on where you live. I didnt see how the service was affected. If anyone has any information on this, it would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance

tmob is on 1900, so it will be fine. it is better to go with one with 850 so you can roam to cingular network in some area if they let you.

Wrong, no GSM services in North America run on 900mhz. Your best bet is to get the one with 850mhz and 1900mhz. FYI 900mhz is mostly for Europe.

Lacking 850 in a city won't kill you. Lacking 850 int he middle of nowhere will get you.

BTW there are 900 towers.

Anyways, 1900 is native t-mobile coverage. Only idiotic Cingular's towers in the middle of nowhere = 850.

Why do you think people buy K750s and W800s. The lack of 850 is not a killer.

Link? GSM900 is for Europe, I'm certain.

I have the SE T616 from Cingular that runs on 850/1800/1900. I'm using it with Tmobile in NYC without any problems. Heck, I like my service more on Tmobile than on Cingular.
