I have a subscription paid up until mid december, just switched cars with my dad, and no im deciding where to mount the sucker.

I had it on my dash in my old car, but it looked cheesy. I tried for 2 hours tonight to squeeze it into the cubby hole in the dash (02 Passat), but ended up breaking part of the extra cradle i was using.

Any ideas on where to mount the sucker?

Would it fit without the cradle? Maybe you could steal the connecter off the cradle you broke and install it that way. It'd be harder to remove though. The other option would be to pull out that pocket and mod it so a cradle will fit in it.

Haha, thats what i did.. When i jammed it into the hole, the connector fell apart (pieces of the circuitboard fell off) and it no longer works.. Good thing i used a spare cradle to take apart :D

Don't "jam" it into the pocket. Pull the pocket out of the dash and do it on a table. Then you won't break anything, or at least not as easily:p

I would mount it right below the shifter. Easy access and even easier install...but thats my .02
