Alright, so I buy a case on FS/T here. The guy sends it out FedEx. Besides taking a very long time to get to my local processing center, it starts backtracking with no explanation. I call after a while of no progress showing. They tell me it was damaged. :|. I PM the guy who sold it, we agree that I'll tell them to deliver it to me despite the damage, and that if it's extensive, I'll mark it return to sender, and he'll refund me. After a few days, I check the package status... delivered 2 days ago? What the? I go downstairs to search for a package... none. I takea closed look at the status... delivered... to him? Arg.
I PM him, and tell him that he has it... he tells me that he has to go to the processing center to pick it up. At this time, I am about to leave on a 17 day trip, during which time I will have no access to a computer. I ask him to temporarily refund the purchase price via paypal, so that he wouldn't be holding the case and the money at the same time. He did so. Upon returning from the trip, he tells me that the damage is just a screw that was rattling around. :| I guess FedEx was right to mark it as damaged, but wrong to not send it to me as I told them. I called up FedEx and they say that it's standard procedure to ship it back to the shipper if damaged. I told them that the last time I called, they said I would get the package. The lady told me that a request can be made to have it delivered to the original address, but it's at the discretion of the shipping center holding the package. That makes no sense.
So right now, the seller has the undamaged case, and is minus $35. I have the same thing that I started out with. FedEx has $35 for providing nothing but a hassle. There's no claim for damage to be made since it was just a loose screw, and FedEx won't reship for free- will they? The seller and I have a temporary agreement to just cut the loss and live with it, but is there anything that can be done? I rather wanted that case.
