Grrr.... dogs.

3 dogs go out. 2 come in, one goes down the street barking at people.
Finally get the dog to come back, punish her by yelling at her and locking her in our downstairs bathroom (time-out for dogs)

half hour goes by... I let her out and give each of the other dogs a "cookie" - big dog bone. She gets none and is scolded again for being a bad girl.

So, I head back to my grad paper... need my highlighter that's in the pocket of the pants I wore yesterday, which are still in a pile on the bedroom floor... Nooooooo..... one of the dogs pissed on my pants. I know it had to be her... the dogs rarely, if not never, have accidents in the house.

So... she got even.

i think you're right. dogs do get even. my dog when he's boarded, only likes petshotel. we tried to leave him at the vet one time. he was pissed. for the next 2 weeks, he misbehaved, got on the furniture, stole food, you name it.

She's just showing you who the alpha is.

Both of our other dogs are at least 3 times her size.. but they're both males... she's a female. Oddly, they used to fight to establish dominance, but neither ever fought her.. and if they were wrestling around with each other, she would occasionally put either of them in their place.

I wonder if the male dogs, who I think could finish her off in one meal, somehow find her to have superior strength? She can push the "alpha male" out of the way to eat from his dog bowl. He doesn't look too happy when she does this - if the other male did that, we'd have a huge hardwood floor scratching bloody fight.

Or, are they just hoping to get laid some day by her and are just biding their time? (heh heh, sorry dogs, I made sure that's not going to happen... she's fixed.)

My roommate likes to chase my other roommate's husky around the house. Every day there is a pool and loaves outside his door. Do not fsck with dogs. 😛

its gauge. 😛 and he listens most of the time. 😉

Man, I would kick the sh!t out of my dog if she did that. She knows who the alpha male is in this house.

The cat on the other hand, she thinks she runs the joint. We accidentally locked her in our bedroom one day while we were at work and when we came home we smelled cat urine in the bedroom. I checked around and found out she had peed on the dog's bed!!! Cat > Dog!

Let me rephrase.

She thinks she is the alpha over you.

Haha....we have a chow, and she's so damn stubborn. She does what we want when she wants to do it. Fortunately, I can just pick her ass up if she' sbeing annoying and force her inside. Hehe.

Dogs are the coolest pets though, always so loving everytime you walk through the door.

sell the dogs,
no more problem.

I had a dog twice.

No more for me, too much time involved, too much torn up yard,
poop/pee in the house, out in the yard,
chewed up cat 5 cables,phone cords,etc........

Dogs might be nice if you have like 10 acres of land.
Too much in the city.
🙁

Assuming the average lifespan of a dog is ten years, the estimated cost of owning a dog for its lifetime is over $8300.
