I've had XM radio for about 2 years and love BPM and The System (81 and 82). Some seriously good stuff. Everytime I go to find something it is only released on vinyl, and my audiophile butt won't accept mp3s.

Eitherway I've got a good table and it looks like my vinyl collection will be growing by leaps and bounds. This makes no less than 20 incredible tracks I can't find except on vinyl.

That's the thing.

I need the utmost/uber recording. Its not like I can pick this stuff up on CD. SACD would be even better but I'm sure if I can only get it on vinyl that ain't gonna happen.

grrrrr.......

Listening to Tilt that I downloaded (legal). Recording sucks. Not the same.

That's the thing with having a killer stereo. You hear everything - including the bad stuff. The MP3s just sound......"compressed". Probably not a function of the medium, just a function of "they won't hear the difference"

Good idea.

Fortunately I can get any vinyl I want thanks to Earxtacy. The local music powerhouse of louisville, ky. Better Days has a huge collection as well.

And vinyl is cheap so I really shouldn't be complaining. I'm probably just resolved to picking my mixes and getting them on vinyl.

mmmmm.............vinyl.
