So the driver's window on my 626 has been falling down for awhile now (stripped window regulator). I finally bit the $120 bullet and bought a new regulator (ouch, that doesn't even include the motor!). The weather's nice when I got home, so I bust out the air tools and change it out. Sweet, only took about an hour, and it works beeeauuuutifully 🙂
I button it up, get in and turn the key, engine sorta starts, then just cranks and cranks. No fire :| Seems the timing belt has lost some teeth too, just like the window regulator!
Ah well, hopefully I can get the parts tomorrow AM and fix it up.
At least it died in the driveway, not on the road....and I don't have to work tomorrow....and I have the 'ol gas hog F100 to drive to the parts store (after I replace the battery and ground cable, which I robbed to fire up the RoadRunner 😉 ). And the timing belt looks like a cinch to change, only have to pull the AC belt and the crank pulley, as far as I can tell.
I'd really be bummed if my SpinTech mufflers for the RoadRunner had been delivered....I'd be wanting to install them, not work on the daily driver!!!!! Oh well, I can put them on Monday night 😀
