Grrr, Apple store screwed up my iPhone

Went into the Apple Store the other day due to a spot that started appearing in all my pictures. Thought it was just dust inside the glass, but the Apple Store said the camera was bad. Rather than just swap the phone, they made me wait a little over an hour while they replaced just the camera. Anyway, the new camera works fine, but now I'm having major issues with both Wifi and GPS. Gps is completely unusable now, never gets anything except triangulation. Wifi seems to crap out if I'm anything more than 5 feet from my router.

Anyway to fix this myself? Won't be near an apple store till next Monday.

I have no knowledge on how to resolve this, sounds like the borked something with the antenna though. Maybe they didn't seat or connect it correctly after replacing the camera.

Other iPhone owners would need to know what model you had though.

wow, didn't realize the Genius Bar repairs embedded devices in-house. Sounds like a somewhat bad idea, in fact. They usually bring out a refurbed unit and simply have you restore from iTunes at home. Sounds like that's the next step for you!

Wait, are you gripping it wrong? j/k

It really sounds like when they dissembled it to change the camera, they did not plug in the wiring to the Antenna properly or not at all. Funny as they call them Genius's which I have always felt was going a bit far.

Make them fix it or better yet, give you a new one.

I think you just have to suck it up for the weekend and go back on Monday. You should make an appointment online and put the above paragraph in the description.

Just got home from work. Apple replaced the phone no prob, he tried it in store and said he's never seen one do that so no need to fix, just replaced it. The laptops were picking up 10+ different wifi access points, including the incredibly strong Apple Demo wifi. My phone showed 0 :)

Thx everyone.

Welcome to the new world.

I haven't used an iphone in months, I don't even know where to begin to fix that.

Liar! That's clearly Chinese.

It's talking about the "Find my iPhone" feature. I'm not sure why it's in Chinese to be honest, maybe the last owner set it to Chinese and the device was not fully wiped? You do have a refurb after all.

Mine was the same way. Just hit the blue button and the language should go to english after a few screens. Being a few days after initial post I am sure you figured it out by now though.
