That just help you get water out. If you have a wax plug or buildup, you need peroxide or Debrox to break it up and get it out.

so just a couple drops of peroxide will get rid of it? I'll have to pick some up tonight

Put an eye dropper full in your ear and then hold your head on its side while the peroxide does its bubbling. When it is done, drain the ear and dry it. FYI - Debrox is much better as it has stuff in it that dissolves wax as well as just disrupting it. It costs a few bucks at the pharmacy...

debrox.. ok im gonna leave work and find that stuff. I can't deal with this constant popping everytime I breathe

Every time I swim, I get that water deep in my ears. This sounds NUTS, but it's what ALWAYS works for me.

1. Lean down to the side of the water-infested ear. (Ear towards floor)
2. Hop on one leg, and simultaneously kick other leg sideways (to "jostle" your head)
3. Continue until water leaks out.
4. Look like an arse in the process. Laugh it off, I've done it in public. I am shameless.

I had something similar in my ear for almost a month earlier this year. It would only bother me when I breathed certain ways, or moved my jaw in some locations. When it did bother me though, it was hell. Felt like I had water in my ear and someone was poking my eardrum with a twig. It would even wake me up in the middle of the night on some bad nights. I kept trying to get it out with Qtips, peroxide, Murine ear cleaner, snake oil, nothing worked. Finally I took a day off work and did a walk in at the doctor's office. There was a small hair in my ear, pressed flat against my ear drum and stuck between the top and bottom of my ear canal. It was pretty much wedged in there. It was from a hair cut I had gotten right around when the problem started.

So, the doctors breaks out this _massive_ syringe and start flashing my ear with distilled water for a few minutes. Eventually, the hair came out. I felt SO much better one it was out of there. Only problem then was that I had no balance after the water jets from the syringe blasted my ear drum. I fell into a wall at the doctor's office, and all the nurses thought I passed out and hurt myself. Very embarassing 😀
