I was downloading a 160MB+ file (IBM's new websphere trial) and I was typing along and the window pops up where IE copies the file from the temp folder to the final destination. Well, since that window has a default action of the Cancel button, when I hit <Enter> while I was typing in another window it canceled that copy and now I have to download the file again!! I HATE that about IE/Windows!!

At least it's coming down at more than 350KB/sec. :disgust:

Go download and install Getright or something similar. Can save all kinds of headaches.

I've done that before but I was able to just grab it out of the Temporary Internet Files folder.

its gone from the temp folder too?

mozilla's DL manager makes it hard to cancel stuff. and you can see all the crap you've downloaded. and it resumes.

Well if it was copying from the temp file to the destination, its still archived on the computer. When you go and try and downloadi t again it won't actually download.

yes
because the moronic programers should not have put the cancel button as the default action when you hit enter or space
