Grr, crappy video on my new rig! Quadro!

For the most part, my new rig is $$:

AMD Atlon64 3000+
MSI K8T FiS2R-NEO
3x 512 MB DDR 2700
2x 120 gig Hitachi SATA HD's on JBOD RAID
PNY nVidia Quadro FX 500
Lite-On Combo CD-RW/DVD
Windows XP Pro.

But I'm having some problems running video. More times than not, when I run a quicktime mov file, no matter what the compression may be, the video turns to a bright green color, and the computer crawls until I close it. And closing it is a pain when the whole computer is on the verge of locking up.

With Divx, the video is incredibly choppy, and makes it almost unbearable to watch. I think it may be a video card issue, because this happened before I reformatted too.

Anyone know what the deal is or what I could do.. Im pretty sure I have the latest drivers. I'm going to search around for a fix in the meantime.

this i believe is missing codecs

no, because it plays for a few seconds then green scans onto the video until it fully green. it doesnt happen until I've had the computer on for a while, or i've opened up some programs like maya 3d and photoshop
