Prepare to be flamed. Many of the people on these forums have accepted their brainwashing and propaganda that anything Dr. Mercola says is 'BS'. Nevermind that the man that runs the main site bashing Mercola has been in legal trouble many times for his own site's content.

The only brainwashed people are those who blindly believe Mercola's quackery, even though he has been soundly denounced by every reputable medical organization in the country.

Don't need to. He's been denounced by everyone from the FDA for the snakeoil he pimps on his website to the AMA and CDC for his bullsh!t medical advice on nearly everything he talks about.

The guy is a freakin' cultist with a gift shop. Nothing more. Denouncing quackwatch does NOTHING to vindicate this guy.

Yep, sounds like a huge freaking risk...

The human variant of Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease has only been confirmed or deemed probable in 167 other people worldwide, virtually all of them in Britain but also in France, the United States, Ireland, Italy and Canada ? though hundreds of thousands of people have likely eaten contaminated beef products.

i don't agree with the correlation of mad cow disease and growth hormone injected cows, but that said i'm still wary of rBGH.

some of what Dr. Mercola is saying is pretty dead on. i live in an area with a large number of dairy farms and rBGH really scares me. it's usage is of great debate here.

What a horrible, sensationalistic, unreferenced piece of crap that article is. It's about as convincing and well reasoned as the article warning against dihydrogen monoxide.

c'mon Amused, you should know better. the FDA approves and then disapproves of drugs all the time. i find them less than god-like in their recommendations.

ever wonder why girls are starting puberty earlier and earlier? how about the ingesting of hormones? could that be it?

Oh I don't know. How about you produce some valid peer reviewed and independently repeated studies showing any harm from it's use in dairy and meat cows?

Oh, wait... you cannot.

Here's a hint folks: Until you have valid peer reviewed and independently repeated studies showing any harm, it's all rumor and speculation... if not outright fear mongering.

This is a LOT like the Aspartame case. A lot of screaming, and NO valid proof of harm.

i guess you are just going to gloss over what i have said about the FDA?
you must follow them blindly.

let's put it this way, there is valid reason for Canada and other countries to ban the use of bovine growth hormone. the FDA is just caving to pressure from big corporations in ours.

I guess you're just going to gloss over the scientific method?

You must like believing in mythology rather than facts.

dude, really, I suspect I know more about it than most.

I know what growth hormone is, I know what IGF is, I know what prions are and I know crap when I see it. That article = crap.

There are some legitimate concerns re rBGH, but sensationalistic misrepresentations like that article shouldn't be taken seriously.

That article written by a Green Party member
Why am I not suprised?
i am far from Green Party, and let me tell you this topic deserves concern.

Granted it should be studied (and most likely has been).

However, that article fits the classic Green Party line. It is always prudent to consider the source.

It freaking reads like the party platform.
