Group Policy over wireless

We have a small win2000 domain at our church/school. About 40 machines total in an Active Directory.
I use Group Policy to push out Office and force operating system updates.

Today I added two new laptops to our fleet. I've noticed that while the computer was connected via it's wireless connection, Group policy would not install MS Office like I have it set up. However, when I plugged the laptop into the network via cat5 and rebooted, GP installed Office immediately.

Can anyone explain that behavior and how do I get GP to work properly via wireless?
