In this video - http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=111&load=3660 - former terrorist "Walid Shoebat, reveals contradictions between Ground Zero mosque founder Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf’s English statements and his Arabic comments. Abdul Rauf directly contradicted his New York Daily News article from earlier this week, and, in the process, lied to New York City about his true intentions."
In ME news sources, Feisal Abdul Rauf has said it's possible to slipstream Sharia into democracies
"Throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians, it is clear an Islamic state can be established in more than just a single form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Sharia that are required to govern."
This corresponds with Feisal Abdul Rauf's comments in his 2004 book called "What Is Right With Islam". Feisal Abdul Rauf wrote about his desire for Sharia Law and his belief that the U.S. can accommodate it. He said that "the American political structure is Sharia compliant...For America to score even higher on the 'Islamic' or 'Sharia' compliance scale, America would need to do two things: invite the voices of all religions to join the dialogue in shaping the nation's practical life, and allow religious communities more leeway to judge among themselves according to their own laws."

So basically we have a guy that wants start a nation within a nation.
In the video below, Walid Shoebat makes it clear that under Islam (waqf) a mosque is considered an "embassy" of Islam no matter where it is, and can't ever be destroyed for any reason.
It's telling that Feisal Abdul Rauf calls for a religious dialogue - but at the University of Cairo he said "I do not believe in religious dialogue.. religions do not dialogue".
Shoebat says Feisal Abdul Rauf is following traditions of Taqiyya (precautionary dissimulation or deception and keeping one's convictions secret) and Kitman (mental reservation and dissimulation or concealment of malevolent intentions). Islamic teachings hold that when surrounded by enemies a person can speak loyally with the tongue while harboring inner animosity - they can act friendly toward enemies while their "hearts curse them".
Shoebat says no to be fooled about talk of the "Cordoba House" being like a YMCA. If Muslims gather to pray there it will be a mosque under Islamic laws.
In Switzerland people voted to make building minarets illegal because the Mosques were trying to build taller and taller minarets so that they would be higher than church steeples. Builders were also inspired by the words of Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan:
"Mosques are our barracks, minarets our bayonets, domes our helmets, the believers our soldiers."
