This is shorter than a full-out rant, it's only a gripe.
Let me preface by saying that I don't buy music. For whatever reason, I just don't. (probably because I have no money) As such, long lengths of time pass between my visits to music stores.
Still, as long as I can remember, the category "Rock/Pop" encompasses all types of music in the universe, Terran and extraterrestrial alike. The question I'm posing is, how can Loreena McKennitt and Metallica possibly be in the same category, very near each other on the shelf, to boot? This strikes me as ridiculous. You're telling me that there's absolutely no better way to categorize music?
