I'm ripping my CD collection to Ogg in preperation for a Ogg Server/Carputer I'm planning to build. I gotta say that GRIP rocks 😀
Very configurable, does Ogg & MP3 via your choice of of encoders, clean interface, you can 'nice' the ripping & encoding processes seperately to manage performace, seperate directories can be specified for the intermediate wav files & the final encoded files, so you can span the load across seperate spindles, cddb lookup of course. Also can dump the artist/album/track info into MySQL for DigitalDJ. I'm not sold on DigitalDJ yet, but just having that data pushed to mysql will be convenient for other stuff also.
50 discs ripped so far!
