Grilling portabella mushrooms

I gonna try grilling some portabellas over the weekend. I was wondering what is a good marinade or any other advice. I've never tried it, so any hints would help.

Melt butter in saucepan (real butter not that margarine crap)
1-2 cloves of fresh pressed garlic
A touch of pepper
3 grinds from pepper mill
Touch of onion powder

Put them on the grill and use a BBQ brush to brush the butter mixture on while they cook.

Specifically, "Flamed Republican". I hear it tastes pretty good.

Drat, I crashed too early for this party. Oh well, next time

THe Purist version--- Coat with good olive oil, kosher salt, and fresh cracked black pepper.

Another way. Take some Newmans own or similar italian dressing, and marinate for a few minutes. You don't want them soggy.

That will work

A little balsamic vinegar is good in a marinade too. I usually do garlic, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and black pepper. Grill & serve on an onion bun with purple onion, tomato, lettuce, & goat cheese. mmmmm....
