Yup--you're right on this. This is my least favorite activity in the game and I'm now skipping them.

Yeah I started skipping those too. Figure I'll try again when I can afford a really nice car for it.

The Drifting ones are kinda boring. I really really like the city tracks and the ones that are at docks (I think?) =p

I watched the gametrailers review which said most of things you stated in day 1 post.

I don't think the crashes are better than burnout though.

I bought the game yesterday morning and only have about an hour under my belt, but I will say this:

I absolutely HATE the 911. My gawd does that thing handle like ass. The engine hanging over the rear axle makes it chore to throw easily around the corners.

I was into racing games sometime ago, the last game was Need for speed: Carbon, which i didnt really get so much into, so then I stopped racers ever since, especially when pro street came out i was like huh? Yet something drew me into getting this game for my PS3, was it the graphics? thats part of it, was it the gameplay, sure most likely, or maybe the fact that it had some cool new features that other racers didnt have, I think that hit the jackpot for me. its basically a "New" kind of racing game, after only playing it for a 1-2 hours *it was a busy day didnt have alot of time to play*, all i could say is DAMN! this game is the S**t! and this is coming from a guy who doesnt play racing games so much and not so into racing games persay.

One thing i do love about this game is the drifting, which is to me, different from the NFS games of recent years, plus it has 4-7 different kinds of drifting competitions

I know, right? I'm not a fan of the car either.

Also, have you played around with the driving assist options? I turned off everything except stability (I think--it's the one that helps control peel outs).
