Train is stupidly expensive in this country (others too?).

Going to Montreal, it was $150-ish for econo seats. Taking the bus, though twice as long, was only $30 if booked over a month ahead of time.

Yea, train's pretty expensive. For as old as it is, the rail system in the USA sucks. They want people off the roads, but they don't want to build tracks, or subsidize routes. They'd rather spend billions adding lanes, and repairing highways, all to have them fill up, and do it again later. The Baltimore beltway is in a constant state of construction. They keep chasing their tails around the loop. It's funny when a dog does it. It's less humorous when your paying what are supposed to be intelligent adults to design a transportation system.

What is the longest anyone has been on a bus before? I just bought tickets for this summer, the trip is going to be 2 1/2 days on the bus (eachway), on a scale of 1-10 how much will i want to kill myself by the end of the trip?

2 1/2 days on the bus each way? It's a bad idea, regardless of how broke you are.

Well when it happens you will be able to experience it yourself via my photo trip log 😀

Seriously tho, I hope there is at least power outlets D:

I don't know about greyhound buses in Canada, but if you're lucky enough to score an STC one (for the final leg, at least), you get power + wifi on board. That would probably make it the highlight of visiting this godforsaken pancake of a province.

the itinerary say the carrier from toronto to regina is "GLC" which using google stands for Greyhound Lines Canada, hopefully it is "STC" as that sounds very nice compared to what the greyhound site says about their own buses.

No, that will be Greyhound, then. STC is "Saskatchewan Transport Corp" or something like that, totally different company. Sorry.

Yeah...I did a 2.5 day trip from Madison WI to San Diego back in the days. Greyhound is more comfortable than a plane. But the end of the first day, I wanted to hang myself in the endless Iowa cornfields. After that, time just flew by. Place your socks, undies, t-shirts somewhere easily accessible so that you can change each day. Other than that...you'll gain a kegger of a stomach eating fast food for three days straight.

That's what i currently eat 7 days a week so i don't think my slim figure will change on this trip. And yeah I plan to have a change of clothes close by and a pillow 😛
