Has anyone heard this? FYI it's Jay-Z's the Black Album mixed into samples of the Beatles' White Album by "DJ Danger Mouse."

Supposed to be incredible, and it is underground and as far as I know not copyrighted but it can't be bought anywhere either. Anyone have any idea how to get ahold of it? :D:D

That sound awesome, and a quick check on my file sharing service of choice turns up a lot of hits. If you want I can send it to you after it's done downloading.

I've heard from many, many people that it is a great album. I haven't gotten it yet, myself.

It's all over IRC right now. I skipped through the tracks briefly and it seems pretty sick. I'll probbaly give it a listen when I get back from work tonight.

Granted that was my interpretation on the first couple of tracks but as I'm listening to it it's not really getting any worse. The later tracks are pretty glitchy, if you are familar with that style of music.

I really don't listen to mix-tapes or remixes all that much, but i know what you mean.

A list of the samples from the White album that were used for each song on the Black Album:

Public Service Announcement <-- Long, Long, Long
What More Can I Say <-- As My Guitar Gently Weeps
Encore <-- Glass Onion + Savoy Truffle
December 4th <-- Mother Nature's Son
99 Problems <-- Helter Skelter
Dirt Off Your Shoulders <-- Julia
Moment of Clarity <-- Happiness is Warm Gun
Change Clothes <-- Piggies
Allure <-- Dear Prudence
Justify My Thug <-- Rocky Raccoon + Revolution 1
Lucifer 9 <-- Revolution 9 + I'm So Tired
My First Song <-- Cry Baby Cry

I'm liking this even more the more I listen to it ... :D

Yup, although the Black album isn't my favorite Jay-Z album, I think the Grey Album is a lot better.

"rap sucks!"

happy? :)

I'm not a huge fan of rap, but this sounds interesting. I'll check it out. Too bad it's not Metallica's Black album, now that would be cool

I downloaded it on Saturday after reading about it in Rolling Stone of all places. I agree it's fantastic and highly innovative.

So glad he used Jay-Z's black album as opposed to Metallica's ;)
