Don't stand around looking like a tourist. 🙂
Why not? Everybody else does.
Because I don't like bumping into random people who suddenly stop short in middle of the sidewalk to stare up yet another tall building. 🙂

I'm here, too, right across from Ground Zero.
G'damn... I had to drive my semi-disabled grandfather out to LaFayette St for his lawyer appt... so after dropping him off I had to find a place to dump the car. Drove around for 30 minutes, no metered parking available anywhere - all ~10 spots were taken... I wasn't paying $20 for 30 minutes at a garage and still have to walk 7 blocks either. Wounded up down on Water St. / Battery Park / Ground Zero... and still couldn't find parking. I got a call that he was done but I couldn't find my way back up through all the buildings they put in the way of streets... took another 30 minutes to get back to him because of all the stop lights in addition.

G'damn... I hate the city. Great for tourists, sucks for people who need to drive thru. Not to mention traffic. I spent 4.5 hours in a car roundtrip that morning... and I only live 45 minutes away.
