Good luck m8. 110F now here in Dubai and I'm glad to be indoors.. Out of curiosity, do you guys head out in the afternoons? How do you guys cool off if you guys do go out on missions? It must be freaking hot in the stuff you guys wear!!

I was here last November way out in Anbar AO, we seen the Temp reach 132 at times and that is no joke. We didn't have any shade just vast baren desert. Day in and day out the Marine in our unit accomplished the task at hand no matter how hot it was, in full gear, with combat load. How did we cool down, drink plenty of water, rest when we have the chance. The vehciles have very strong AC units as we all know, problem is we do not stay in the vehicles all of the time. It takes some time getting used the the conditions and you will lose alot of weight, but in the end it's about Mission Accomplishment and the guy on your right and left.....

Woah? 132F in November? That sounds unusual.. Temps in the Middle East are relatively pleasant then.. Was 120F here today.. haha! Good to be back to the sandpit! :D

I really hate having to go outdoors after having cooled off indoors.. My house is freezing coz our AC is on full blast so everytime I step out, I just feel a hot blast of air on my face which is something I've never gotten used to even though I was brought up here. Hats off to you guys for going on missions in such weather..
