GreenManGaming has Skyrim for $35.99 - 25% off with code GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN for a total of $27.

Also have Dawnguard for $14.99 - 25% off with the same code totaling $11.25.

One of the lowest prices I've seen.

For those that don't know, GMG is a legit etail website, not one of of the international "grey market" key resellers.

Hows to GMG work, do they send you a steam code?

Sweet. I might pickup Dawnguard then :D I only just got Skyrim a month or two ago (I refused to pay full price for a game that was out for more than 6 months, and Steam FINALLY put it on sale during the summer sale).

For those without Skyrim at all and a bit of patience, might as well wait for the super bundle with all the DLC that will eventually be released one year...

$30 for a game like Skyrim is worth it. If only I didn't play league of legends so much, I would get this game.

Yeah but the eventual GOTY release with skyrim+all 10 billion DLC chunks will be MORE worth it

(again, if you have the patience)

otherwise, you have to buy the DLC piece by piece or not at all.

For Oblivion, I bought it at release and then bought it again in the GOTY edition for steam access/DLC.

Sounds like good advice even though $27 is a good price. There's so many titles coming out this fall (several this month) that I want anyway so I'd never get around to playing Skyrim anytime soon. Steam holiday sale hopefully will see the GOTY edition.

Gotta remember, odds are when the GOTY edition comes out it will likely be priced at $59.95 for about 6 months or so. Just because. That's what they did with Oblivion.

Getting bored lately with BF3.

Never played a game like Skyrim. Worth a $30 experiment? There a demo anywhere or are there any games it is comparable to that might give me an idea of what to expect?

Well, it's an RPG with some fairly strong "hack and slash" style gameplay (if you play as a melee character, which the game generally encourages), but you can also be an archer or a mage, so there is some variety. It holds your hand a lot at the beginning, so it is very easy to get into, but it does open up quite a bit and give you a wide variety of different mission styles so you can really customize a character unique to yourself. That said, it's very n00b-friendly for an RPG, which I appreciate because I don't generally play RPGs. I'm not typically a fan of the genre, but the sheer scope of the game along with its modability got me hooked; I think it's the best game I've played in the last year, and easily worth $30. If you like exploring a big, open world, it's a blast (kinda like Red Dead Redemption with no guns and you occasionally level up). If you're looking for fast-paced action or multiplayer? Not so much.

Skyrim and Dawngaurd are worth $100 IMO. The game offers so many hours of play. I bought for $35 and I feel like I stole from Bethesda.

That's only a couple bucks cheaper than GMG had it at the end of January. If I've waiting 8+ months already to buy a game, I'm not going to buy it unless it's significantly cheaper.
