I’m a coffee addict. I used to drink a pot and a half per day. Now it varies depending on how much sleep I got but normally at least a few cups throughout the day.
One thing I’ve been experimenting with the last few days is having coffee in the morning and strictly green tea after lunch. Sometimes matcha, sometimes steeped green tea leaves. And lately I’ve been drinking a lot of it to keep me alert.
However, one thing I’ve noticed is that I’ve become super productive in the afternoon (typically the time I started getting tired and winding down) without the jitters.
I’ve been doing some reading and green tea seems to contain L-Theanine among other things that keep you alert but calm, with the added benefit of weight loss/increased calorie burn.
I’m wondering if I should switch my routine to one cup of coffee in the morning followed by a ton of green tea throughout the day. Right now I need a lot more of it than I did coffee to stay productive but maybe in time that would change.
Any thoughts appreciated!
