I have a WD10EACS that I've had for several years now that's reading close to 2,400,000 on the SMART data for load/unload cycles.
I also have eight WD30EFRX drives that are all reading zero, despite the system having been started and shut down a few times since I installed those drives.
People really should stop worrying about SMART data unless it's a value that's directly indicating failure.
All WD 5400rpm hdds suck IMO. They are slow and over priced and the reliability has traditionally been worse than a 7200rpm variant that's faster and cheaper and basically uses the same energy. It's not 2010 anymore.
