Is it better to get one of the Mobiles that are Green or Brown? Do they represent a difference? Anyone have the green ones with good success in overclocking it? I am looking towards a 2500 XP Mobile but the color is green. The ones that I see on newegg.com are brown, so just wondering if in all they over clock the same.

The 2500+s are green, and the other two models are brown. I don't believe there are two colors for one specific model. If there were, it wouldn't matter. As a difference between the models, the 2600+ is the safe bet for being able to achieve higher speeds, but oftentimes the 2400+ and 2500+ will do just as well.

color has nothing to do with overclocking ability...

brown or green... it's just the color substrate they use...

there should be colors of both kinds for each cpu model

i've purchased many 1700+ 2400+ etc and they all had brown and green ones

i would imagine that they are mixing it up this time too with the mobiles, but i could be wrong

Of course they are. My XP-M 2600 is green, though at the moment the egg is selling brown 2600's.

green is better, my 1700 is green and it overclockes incredibly high! my friends 2500+ barton is brown and he needs 1.85v to get he's XP to 2.2GHz. ok I'm just saying nonsense :) color doesn't matter but my story is not joke.
