Green or Brown XP Mobiles

Is it better to get one of the Mobiles that are Green or Brown? Do they represent a difference? Anyone have the green ones with good success in overclocking it? I am looking towards a 2500 XP Mobile but the color is green. The ones that I see on newegg.com are brown, so just wondering if in all they over clock the same.

The 2500+s are green, and the other two models are brown. I don't believe there are two colors for one specific model. If there were, it wouldn't matter. As a difference between the models, the 2600+ is the safe bet for being able to achieve higher speeds, but oftentimes the 2400+ and 2500+ will do just as well.

there should be colors of both kinds for each cpu model

i've purchased many 1700+ 2400+ etc and they all had brown and green ones

i would imagine that they are mixing it up this time too with the mobiles, but i could be wrong

Of course they are. My XP-M 2600 is green, though at the moment the egg is selling brown 2600's.

brown or green... it's just the color substrate they use...

i agree. i doubt amd were discriminating any color, lol 😀

green is better, my 1700 is green and it overclockes incredibly high! my friends 2500+ barton is brown and he needs 1.85v to get he's XP to 2.2GHz. ok I'm just saying nonsense 🙂 color doesn't matter but my story is not joke.

I have 2-2400m's and 1 is green and the other brown. The brown 2400m overclocks slightly better than the green one. I also have a 2600m and it is a brownie.
