I wish I was there when someone said, "Lets make a superhero who caries a green lantern around. Kids will love it."
(GL is one of my favorites btw)

I've got an idea for a superhero who carries around a smelly sock.

The comic industry is _not_ hurting for ideas these days. 100 Bullets, The Authority, 303, etc. are all spectacular pieces of work.
