Greatest Rock Anthem for the Generations

I'm thinking on the lines of Bruce-Thunder Road, Mellencamp-Jack and Diane, Billy Joel-Pianoman.
Name a rock Anthem that best defines your generation. The song that comes on at 1:00 am and everyone in the whole bar joins along singing.
Which song is that for you?
 
i personally think mellencamp's pink houses gets more sing along than jack & diane, but that's me🙂

Thunder Road!!! Definitely. I had a girl tell me she would run off with whoever sang that to her.

EDIT: BTW, I'm 21 years old. Thunder Road is my favorite song.

Mogwai as in the band. That is what those creatures were called though, yes. It also means "monster" in chinese.

If the second is anything like the first, it's not the greatest rock anthem of the day it was released.

I'd say maybe "Hotel California" or "American Pie". I don't know if the second one is really rock or not, but I don't know anyone who doesn't watch MTV that doesn't like that song.

Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer always gets a huge response. I think Sweet Child O' Mine normally does as well. But in Clemson, it's without a doubt Livin' On A Prayer.

Edit: This is based on the OP's statement of everyone in the bar singing at 1am.
 
I don't consider any punk band to be rock, they are.......um.....horrible?

Always a crowd pleaser at bars seem to be the 80's hair band songs, Here I Go Again- Whitesnake, Pour Some Sugar On Me- Def Leppard. Not really rock but Hank Williams Jr. songs always seem to be popular in bars as well.
