BentValve, specifically who do you want? This is focused on individual rappers. I'll add them to the poll if they aren't on there.

Your list sucks.

Ice Cube
50 Cent
Dr. Dre
Too $hort
Ludacris
Jermaine Dupri
B-Real (from Cypress Hill)
Eazy E
MC Ren
LL Cool J

Why are any of the above on there?

I'm very torn on this...but I voted for Dre. The man can do it all... produce, rap, find talent, you name it. The Chronic is one of the legendary rap albums, the man brought us Snoop, Eminem, Ice Cube, etc.

If it's straight rapping, not counting anything else, it's hard to argue against 2pac. the guy had some incredible verses, could rap about anything and everything. But for overall contribution and impact, Dr.Dre gets my vote.

I am a bit surprised for Ludacris to be brought up... I don't think he's much of anything in the rap game. I don't think much of 50 cent either, but that's just my opinion.

Another name which should at least be brought up is KRS-One...he won't get any votes but he should at least be an option.

JD is very underrated as both a rapper and a producer/talent guy.

Why is he good? Because he is dead? He was a extremely poor MC and should not be on the list. He did nothing but help usher in the gangsta rap BS fad.

Ice Cube - What did he do but gangsta?
50 Cent - What has he done but get shot?
Dr. Dre - Great producer, lousy MC.
Too $hort - Joke, novelty rapper.
Ludacris - Pop star.
Jermaine Dupri - Wow, he signed ABC. Poor MC.
B-Real (from Cypress Hill) - I love CH, but B-Real should not be on the list.
Eazy E - See above.
MC Ren - See above.
LL Cool J - Pop star.

Eazy E was a good lyracist, just because he helped usher in gangsta rap doesn't mean he shouldn't be recognized....Not only that, but look at his influence to the hip hop community, BONE THUGS ~N~ HARMONY

Hey dwell, do us all a favor and don't post here anymore. It is obvious you're not a fan of hip-hop.

I am clearly a fan of hip-hop. I am not a fan of RAP. Half your list is gimmick rappers. Where's Rakim?

Slick Rick & Douggie Fresh
Flava Flav and/or Public Enemy
Easy E
