If you think rap=crap then go away.

If you think I forgot anyone, reply with the artist's name and I'll add him.

You could narrow the poll down to just the dead ones.
That'd make it easier on everyone. :p

I'm happy to see Immortal Teknique in this list although he doesn't not qualify. Atleast people know who he is.

I think the greatest rapper of all time can only be between a select few...the rest haven't been on the scene long enough to be considered.

My vote is Run DMC, De La Soul, 2Pac, and Slick Rick (altho he doesn't have enough music).

so many good choices... kwe, com, nas, pac, imm, rakim, thought, guru... but lately ive been listening to a lot mos def lately so i have to give it up to him.

btw, i agree that del needs to be added to that list. in fact, i would probably even consider posdnuos and dave from 'de la soul'.

I lean on the fence with so many of them each time this comes up so I am just going to give you my personal favorites and who I think have the most skillz: Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Biggie, Tupac, Big L , Nas and Ice Cube. I also think Eminem ranks up there but he's not a favorite of mine just lyrically gifted.

I'm going to have to go with Shaq Diesel ... seriously.. and i'll give you some examples of his lyrics to prove my point: "I can flow like pee, coming out you know what/Or some ookey diarrhea coming out yo butt", "Watch out the funky hooper/I uh er-heh er-heh, sorry I made a pooper.", "Ally ally ally ally bama/go tell your pops and your momma/ that Shaq is the man, period comma" (who doesnt love shaq's awesome grammatical abilities.,?) .. so i would have to say, by default, shaq diesel is da man. no qualms about it.

if anything, there should be less choices.
lauryn hill?

What's wrong with Lauryn Hill.

I have to admit, I had to do a double take when I saw her name on here.

She had very nice verses on 'The Score' and 'The Miseducation Of...' and is better than most rappers out there. I think she's underrated as well as Jean Grae.
