No way man, FYC was a TWO-hit wonder. Remember "Good Thing"? Great tune.

Blind Melon a one hit wonder? No way. I still listen to 'em all the time, and, while "No Rain" is still a favorite of mine (especially live/acoustic versions), they did some other great tunes too. Too bad about Shannon Hoon.

Let's see. How about Take That - Back For Good? Or Del Amitri - Roll To Me

Let me guess, Jeanny was deemed too shocking for the USA?
Now that I think of it, the original was in German, people probably just didn't understand the song.

Utilizing a clever sample of the bass line to Queen?s ?Under Pressure,? ?Ice Ice Baby? zipped to No. 1 in 1990. But Ice?s strutting ego and unwarranted boasting about an imaginary gangster past led to a fall that was as quick as his unexpected rise.

hey, wasn't it David Bowie who sang under pressure? pretty sure it was.

To those who said Don McLean- American Pie, you are way off base.

While American Pie was McLean's biggest hit, he had, I believe 5 songs that charted in the top 20, and a few others that were in the top 40. His song Vincent has been covered by hundreds of artists and so have Dreidel and Prime Time. He is definately not a one-hit wonder, even though American Pie outstrips his other stuff in populartity.

Under Pressure was by Freddie Mercury of Queen, but David Bowie released a cover of Mercury's version.

I think that at one time Queen and David Bowie even worked together for one version of it as a tribute to Mercury, who died of AIDS.
