I can't get mine to work at all after a few hours on a W2K box, and it constantly drops on my XP box. Read the Netgear forums before purchasing, please. There are plenty of threads dedicared to the WG111 adapter unfortunately.

Also it's frustrating when the signal isn't consistent.
Having suffered from dropped internet connections at various times. I prefer to hardwire my stuff now :p

In case anyone was wondering, these may or may not work on a Tivo. Certain model numbers work, others aren't even recognized, so it's not worth the risk.

not to too the horn, but they are $9.99 at CompUSA refrub. Just don't have the link infront of me.

Sorry to crap on a thread (its dead now anyway), but I sure am glad I got a USR5421 US Robotics MAXg USB Adapter brand new for $15 after rebates a couple weeks back from CompUSA....

if u live near a frys they tend to have airlink g products for like 8.99 every month or two:p damn stuff is so dirt cheap its insane. its been going on for over a year now so i consider g type products near worthless. usb/pci/pcmia for 9 bucks. a damned router for 20-25bucks.:p i have a pcmia on one of my laptops, it works just fine compared to name brand.
