Just went and got this deal. I caught a little flak when I tried to do this with the 3d holograms. I made a point to say to tell the the person helping me that I had talked to someone earlier and they said it was ok and asked if he could try it at the register. Guess what! It deffinatly works. I didn't get free activation, but if you activate online you get $10 off activation!

Yes. You can buy at BestBuy and activate online or phone call from home. With online, you get $10 credit even for existing customer that change phone. Activate online is so easy but you need reliable internet connection cause SprintPCS website always has problems.

You can buy 3D Hologram that cost only 4.99( the cheapest I found in wireless accessories) but you need to buy two accessories and the computer will automatically deduct 50%. Make sure you tell the cashier you're new customer rate plan.

If you want to read fine print, check Weekly Ads that also available at BestBuy.com.

almost so. I have an A400 and damaged. Bought A460 then. so I know exactly how signal different in the same place.

check also their weekly AD, side by side with other phones, A460 only has two bars where others have 4 bars......

Thanks for the info about the a460 mamax. Anyone else hear anything about this phone? It's seems popular but I'm trying to figure out why everyone likes it? Appearance looks ordinary, nothing spectacular. Is it the price alone that people like? I can't find a review for it.

The reception for my place almost the same between a400 and a460. My apartment complex has bad reception ( 2 bar all the time). I had a400 before return it and purchase the a460 The polyphonic sound is much better but not suitable for business use. It is much clearer than the a400. I can hear much better and other party recieve my voice better. I like blue color. External LCD will be very helpful for me.

a460 is CNET new product of the year for last CES.

If you can wait, I'll definitely wait for a500. Retaill will be around 250-300. Check www.phonescoop.com for some information. That's ll be true 3G phone. a460 is 2.5G technology with less data transfer. Sprint will hold the lauch of 3G around August or September.

I believe Sanyo has better reception among the SprintPCS phone especially the slim new one but I heard battery life is not so great.

You can activate your phone for free on sprints website yourself, and turn on and off other phones you have.

PS Sprint still sucks, unless you like dropped calls.

Must be a local deal for Ods when he got free activation. As far as I know Best Buy can't activate the phone, sprint does. Doesn't hurt to ask, but dont hold your breath on free activation. Worse comes to worse use sprintpcs.com to activate and save $10. If you have any problems with it just call the sprint's activation # and tell them so, request the csr to give you the $10 act credit because thier site is not working.
