There is a $15 off $50 coupon to Officedepot.com so you should be able to find it. Go to officedepot.com and add 17 12-packs of pepsi products to your cart (search for pepsi) and check out. You will get free shipping on the pop and you will get 17 12-packs for $35.83

The nice part of this deal is that you don't pay deposit. I live in MI and I get $1.20 back per 12 pack which brings this deal down to a very nice .80 cents a 12 pack! I don't know when this coupon expires, but stock up when you can!

Note: If you order this pop, make sure you choose to have it delivered for free (delivery is free for all orders over $50). If you pick it up, the store will charge you deposit before you can leave with the pop.

Have fun!

Yeah.....I remember this deal from a while back. :) Everyone was ordering 17 cases of Mt. Dew. --And then having poor UPS man deliver that heavy heavy load. Man. That sucks. :) Y'all enjoy.

I saw the origional deal thread, but I thought I would add a new one showing the benefits for all those who have to pay deposit. CA and MI have to pay .10 while NY, IA, CT, MA, VT, and ME all pay .05.

To everyone in those states, this deal is quite hot. :)

This is the first thread on the topic to be honest. I was the one who made that first observation about the deposits in the initial thread. Anyway, I think its a good idea to post this occassionally, as it is still a hot deal. I just got 9 12 packs of diet pepsi yesterday which will end up costing me about $2.50 altogether. woohoo!!!

Nope....no Coke. :(

You only get to choose Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mt. Dew, and Lipton Tea. Thats all. Still, it is quite a good deal.

This got me thinking... what is the *proper standard American term* for a "carbonated soft drink":

Soda
Pop
Soda Pop
Coke (in the south this means any soft drink)
Cola
Cold drink

Not really a hot deal here in Texas. The 12 packs work out to a little over 2 bucks apiece. You can find 12 packs of Pepsi for $199 normally.

I'm not thread crapping. Just giving some info.

Lintball:

I'm from Buffalo, NY and we called it pop.
I live in Long Island right now and it's called soda.
For me, a cold drink is a beer..

How about ice tea/sweet tea?

cheers,

Did anyone actually get in on this the first time? I wanted to, but I am wondering how they ship this, and if it's old or something. Also, what stops the UPS driver from burning down my house after he realizes he just delivered 30 cases of pop to my lazy, cheap a$$?

Living in California and paying the stupid CSV (tax on soda, bottled water, etc.), I've never figured out how to get this money back. You can recycle from your house (and get nothing), and I've seen recycling centers advertised which pay a buck a pound or something for aluminum cans, but how do you get back the deposit? Can anyone help a clueless Californian? Thanks.

It's not 17 cases, it's 17 12-packs -- 8.5 cases! Also, it's not free delivery for all orders over $50, I'd have to pay $10 for delivery as I'm outside their local delivery area (store is only 15 miles away).

ThaPerculator - They shipped mine straight from Office Depot. A Office Depot truck came to my house, and a driver unloaded the boxes right into my garage. I have heard of them shipping the pop over UPS as well, but not to me. :)

kcobra - Yea, the only good part about this deal for anyone living in a state without bottle deposit is that you don't have to go to the store and buy the pop. They deliver it to you for free (if you are in their area for free delivery)

hovak - This deal seems to be around when they have Pepsi in stock in your area and when they have a coupon to make the price lower.

Bob61 - Sorry you are outside the delivery area. :( If you live in a city that has a bottle deposit, you can still get a good deal. Lets say you have to pay .10 per can for deposit. Thats $20.40 if you bought 17 12-packs. $35.83 + $10 shipping - $20.40 bottle return = $25.43! Thats a $1.50 per 12-pack! Here in MI or in CA, that is a smokin deal!

How come I couldn't find a field for coupon codes during checkout on ODs site? Can anyone tell me where they found the field to enter the coupon code?

Damn, can't beat those prices for coke... I need lots of coke for the 142 pounds of steak I am cooking (a nice Outback recipe involving steak, coke, taco mix, and italian seasoning mix... oooh SOOO good!)

Oregon has to pay a deposit, too, so this is hot for us, too! Too bad I could never see myself putting down $35 for pop ... at least not at all once ;)

whizbang - The coupon code can be found at most deals sites. I can't post it here, but you don't put it in when you check out. You put the coupon code in before you start shopping. There is a Office Depot coupon page you go to, put in a referral code, and you get the coupon.

DarkmanX - As for what deposit is, if you have to ask, then you probably don't have it. People in the states I specified have to pay a .05 or .10 cent deposit on each can/bottle of recycled material. You get this money back when you return the empty container. However, it is a huge markup when you buy pop, beer, etc. :)

Thanks, Nightfall. I had just figured it out...DOH! When I lived in Kansas, we said pop. When I moved to Louisiana, it was col' drink. Easterners say soda. In Michigan, it's pop. OD calls it beverage. These are synonyms and all are syntactically acceptable.

I wanted to get in on this deal last time it was posted but it said I wasn't in the shipping area. Now however it shows I am. Cool. I live in MI too.

It looks like the $15 of $50 coupon expires on July 26th.

Could someone PM me information on where to go to get this $15 off $50?

I went to Jumpondeals thinking I might find a listing of the coupons there, but they don't even have Office Depot on their list of companies. :(

Lintball I grew up in California, and we always called every type of carbonated beverage Coke, unless it was clear, then it was 7-Up:D
I'm not sure if that was more a function of geography or my socio-economic background, though.
As such, for some reason, the term 'Pop' bugs the sh!t out of me
