Well I got my Q9450 installed in my P5KC to replace my E8400. Got it for 25% off with that Ebay Cashback deal....so I had to jump on it. I was a little apprehensive at first, because I loved my 3.8ghz Wolfdale, but it was definatly worth it.

1.1 VID ---> pretty good from what I hear

3.6ghz very easy. Major adjustments were Vcore 1.35V (I just guessed), and NB 1.4V. If this tests stable, im going to lower the Vcore even more. Idles at 48C with a crappy Arctic Freezer 7 Pro, using Antec Formula 5 Silver paste. Also, the ambients are ugly here in Socal this time of year, so thats not too bad.

Also, I had absolutely no 450 FSB wall. I benchmarked it @ 3.7ghz @ 1.375V, but stopped there as far as clock speed.

17.7k 3dmark06....needless to say, I am one happy customer.

The water is warm over here on the quad side...dont be afraid to jump in, especially after the Q3 price drops.....:D

X2, check out the Hot Deals section. Microsoft is doing random 10-25% cashback rewards on items you can purchase on ebay. I just happend to catch it @ 25%. Some people were lucky when if first started and got 35%..... I know today it was 25% for an hour or two, then went to 20% for a while. Its basically like a rebate, but its from Microsoft.

do a search for your item via www.live.com

at the top there will be an add that'll link you to ebay.

find an item that is "buy it now" and when you go through the process it'll tell you how much you'll get back.

yeah, i was browsing around yesterday when it was 25% but couldn't find anything i "needed" from ebay.

hope that helps.
