Great Pictures from all over the world, good for wallpapers

High Res picture of my country

Geez you got to be a polar bear to live there!

Great pic, but they don't call it "Iceland" for nothing.

From looking at that picture, it appears any mole hill higher than five feet has a snow cap. 🙂

Thanks Czar, I appreciate the link. I have to say when it comes to the best space pics, NASA's website is king, it's free and loads quick 🙂

<< edit: OMG, I am finally a Platinum Member. >>

Congrats Lars 😀

Nice!, hey Czar .. how much is your cost of living [at your country] per month? How about the utilities?

AmusedOne,
yes my igloo is right there on the southwest of the country

SyahM,
not that much, electricity is cheap, water is cheap, food is expensive, housing is expensive, it all sortof evens off I think.

Can you draw a circle around it? I need to know where to send the missiles. 😉

not now, sorry, in school and I have limited bandwith and I know that image is huge. But just send it with UPS... and hope they damage the package so it explodes 😛

Hey, are those single (as in not part of a range) HUGE mountains the ones throwing huge shadows) volcanos?

BTW, Czar, why is a picture of your country in the "Natural Hazards" section of the website???

They know about YOU?

Wait, I see why. There's a dust storm.

How many times do I need to tell you to clean your freakin' igloo, snowboy? 😉

<< How do you search for a specific country?? >>

just click on search and type in a name there, mostly just weather pictures but sometimes you get great pictures of the region.

not sure.. whatthe heck.. spend bandwith.
OK now, what huge shadows are you talking about?

Its because of the sandstorm south of the country, not me, I´v been eating better now so no more of those, extra gases 😛

OK, look at the full size picture.

I'm assuming up is north (if it isn't, just assume it is, I don't have an atlas with me). Now, assuming up is north, the sun is to the south. You'll see many mountains throwing HUGE shadows to the north (up).

If you go from your dust storm diagnally to the north east (up/left) you'll see a single snow covered mountain throwing the biggest shadow of any land object in that picture.

Can you accept a 1 MB file in email? I've circled these objects in photoshop.

This is no glacier. It lookks like a volcano or single giant mountian.
