This photo was on their home page earlier today. I find it to be a great photograph, just how the balance of the unidentified, faceless cooperate suit, and the protesters, both out in the chilling rain, in a place called Freedom Plaza.

Is it just me or does that bookbag thing the suit is holding look painted on? I'm sure it's just the material, but it looks a bit odd to me.

(edit: you don't actually have to register. Just put in two (or three I forget) boxes of bogus information and it works)

The faceless corporate suit isn't necessarily an evil guy. Most likely, he's some schmoe with a dog and a family, just trying to make a living just like the rest of us (with the dubious exception of those protestors). Interesting photo, though.

I absolutely agree with you. Just the impression the photo gives you makes it seem that he is faceless.

I'm sure he is some guy working at Dept of Commerce at a g-10, living in Rockville condo with his wife, the schoolteacher at Montgomery Public Schools and his 4-year-old daughter.

What's with the chicks in pic #12 in their bras and panties? Does taking off their clothes prove that they're more committed than the guys who, at least I didn't see any, aren't running around in their chonies?

Not that I have anything against women running around in public in their undies. It just seems to distract from the seriousness of their protest.

Edit: My bad. There is a guy in his chonies. So, I guess taking off your clothes means that you are REALLY, REALLY serious about your protest.

Pic #10
In the chaos of the morning, Washington Post photographer Michael Robinson-Chavez was struck by a police officer while taking pictures of protesters in Pershing Park.
Is that legal??

You just have to give them your gender, birth year and zip code. It's not that bad.

Just thought of this, too. If I was a DC Metro cop, I would have made the protesters march through Southwest (say, around 4th and M), or stage a 'sit-in' at Buzzard's Point, where the latest murder had been committed.
